Leona has to commit to going all-in when she engages - taric does not. Leona is a way more manly champ than taric will ever be. Also, she's better for dealing with mobile assassins via her q auto-reset rather than having to wait around for taric stun to charge and maybe stun the assassin.

If toplane is one of those I'd like to learn your ways. I've always wanted to solo lane him but always found myself useless until teamfights started and I always had idiotic farm and lost all trades.

The only time I take him top is if I'm against a fighter like Riven Yasuo Tryndamere Camille Irelia . I can then just stack armor and crush them.
