It costs you time. And time is money.

It also costs electricity. And electricity costs money.

It also requires you to expend energy, which means you need to buy more food to eat and replenish that energy. And food costs money.

Runes are actually very expensive, when you think about it...

BUT!!! If you aren't at home on the computer, it isn't using electricity - therefore you are spending less money! And, if you aren't sitting at home playing a video game, then you have the time to go out and get a job, where you would be earning money!

THEREFORE! Runes are even more expensive due to the opportunity costs where you could be working instead of playing League to earn IP to purchase the runes!

league dont make you spend more for that... you would still be on a computer doing something most likely on youtube or pornhub or somethign of that nature...

People are just saying it takes too long to get runes and completely enjoy a champion. No more, no less. It doesn't have to do with money. People want to be able to enjoy something sooner rather than later.

and im aware of that... and i stated that if you remove runes completely ( is being discussed and a complete over haul will happen by preseason 8) and i also stated if you dont use your IP on champ and get RP for champs you will have more IP for runes... they are free , you get IP from just playing the game... good bad it dont matter you earn IP and they have tier 1 & 2 runes for 1 ip.

but people want no compromise they want their cake and they wanna eat it to. its the micro wave insta gratification society of the younger generations . they are bitching and crying over something that is already free on a free to play game.

i have 20 full rune pages and 131 champs (minus kled and ivern ) and i have runes i dont even use cuz i dont find them viable at the moment. and i havent spend much $ on league to begin with over the years ( started at the end of season 2 ) i have spent maybe $325 and most of that was gifts for friends ( skins/champs) for xman, bdays etc

and if people could use RP to get runes they wouldnt , cuz they are cheap hateful bastards who want everything given to them

oh wait you can get IP boost for RP and boost your amount of IP you get to get IP faster to get runes

no one will give anything for what they want. if this was a pay to play game and they had to cough up $ for everything in game then they wouldnt cry as hard about it needs to be MORE FREE

but if you havent noticed everything on ( 90% ) of post on the forums is the community crying over something. and blaming riot for everything , is laughable it has became one big circle jerk of tears. and people wonder why the in game community is a bunch of toxic assclowns because its just a reflection of how they act on the forums.

bruh we fucking wish we could just buy runes with RP but that wouldn't be fair to the people that don't wanna pay money for league. Yet those people probably don't work and have more time to farm IP unlike people who do work. So it's complicated, only reasonable solution is to just make it available for everyone.

then there is no crying over runes... or messed up masteries (forgetting to switch) and it would be fair cuz all players for all champs will have base stats therefore no one has an advantage over any one

The reason this will likely not happen is because they add a little bit of variety to the champions. Ofcourse this is less apparent when some choices become a lot more obvious than others.

First i would to say if you made that original statement as an opinion i would of had to say disagree. Instead you decided that you want to go with a declaration/fact.

Why do runes need to be cheaper? Here are my reason why not.

Part of the cost if runes is to make people choose between purchasing champs ip or rp. Now how well this is done is debatable but i do know some people buy champs and send there IP on runes to be competitive viable as soon as possible (mostly smurfs). But the goal is to drive sales.
Runes tend to be optional game play choices that are actually false choices. 70% of the runes are traps and are not used.
You get away with playing league until high plat + with slightly sub optimal setups. The generic pages AP, brusier, ADC, and support All share the same blues and yellows. Bruiser can share red with adc or even use the ADC page. Support page can use a default mage page. Some of these defaults are heavily discounted already.
If you want more IP quicker, you can buy boosts and support the game. You have to pay in time played or in real cash.

Yeah but runes shouldn't be various prices then. They should all be 205 not 410 or 820.
Wrong, many runes needed to run many champions. Kayle needs CDR blues and AS reds and HP yellows, all of which are 410 each, then 1050 for an AS quint.
Um, people shouldn't be forced into sub optimal setups because of poor design. That's not competitive integrity.
That isn't an excuse for having some runes very expensive.

I'm not asking for free, I'm asking for reasonability. Runes should all cost the same for each because that's reasonable. Varying in price just makes many other champions less accessible for people to play. Yet accessibility is huge for any game. Low accessibility means a bad game.

Why do you need CDR Runes, Tri force is 20% Frozen heart is 20% Spirit visage is 10% Warmogs is 10%, those are all acceptable items on nasus (I typically get tri force, warmogs and spirit visage for 40% CDR)

i can achieve 600 stacks by 30 min with that. I find it much better to take the full armor runes or mr so i dont get forced out of lane before i get my sheen. If it goes really well ive managed to hit 750 by 30 a few times.

You dont need CD runes though, if you play Nasus correctly you get max CD from items anyways. You want Armor Pen Marks, Armor Seals, MR Glyphs, and Armor Pen Quints.
