i dont like how they function. i think they should be a buff that increases based on how many spires he controls.

example : control 1-2 spire causes your q to increase mv spd/ att spd by 3% stacking 3 times. control 3 spires cause your shield to reflect dmg. control 6 spires causes your ult to do something special idk

you see where im going witht this?

I like that better as well. If an Allie takes one over, they gain small amount of health and mana as well!

I think it could be a cool concept, but the thing about his spires is what they're designed to do: give him zones of power that help him clear the jungle more efficiently. They would give more incentive to take them if they did something more useful than just a field of increased movement and attack speed, but I don't think that having them give him buffs while he's outside of their range would fit within his power budget at all. Skarner is already a pretty strong champion, and having his spires be global buffs for him would be too over the top, and it would force Riot to nerf something else down from his kit, possibly even to the point where he needs to have as many spires captured as possible just to be able to function, which would make his play patterns extremely predictable and overall make him an awful champion.

agree with what your saying but depends on what the buff does. if you just make what the spires do now global he would be broken af.

I have a problem with Skarner's spires. I think they are a boring ability. I think the concept of building on and transforming the map is pretty cool. but this implementation feels just random and without direction.

That sounds interesting, but would probably be really anti-fun gameplay wise. LIke you're going in for a gank top, but then the enemy jungler takes the spire by dragon right as you are about to ult, making your ult less useful.

It basically requires your team to control the whole map to work well, and would be a nerf when the enemy has control of the map, since on live if he fight on the one spire he controls he's still strong, but with this change he'd be weaker if the enemy has control of the other spires.

Basically, this change would make him too dependent on his teammates, and whether the game was going well or not. Skarner really can't control 6 spires by himself, so it would take a lot of his kit out of his control.

So, basically, Skarner would be completely deprived of any benefit from the spires if his team gets behind, but would have a huge power buff when his team is ahead? If we're behind, I'll just never ever have access to certain parts of my kit? Seems really, really dull. I want my power to be determined by stuff more intricate than whether or not my team is ahead.

The spires are a failed concept. Making them work as anything more than an annoyance is going to be way more work than its worth. Removal is by far the superior option
