Sejuani Suggestion Post

Yeah, so people are a little upset about Sejuani's rework, so I wanted to make a post where we can actually suggest what could be changed to make her better. Don't come here to complain about how Sej shouldn't have even gotten a rework, don't come here to complain without giving positive input, and don't be like this post that actually had good suggestions and feedback but somehow descended into a toxic argument about ancient Scandinavian culture (actually tho, the beginning of the post is good, it's the lower half of the comments that get pointless). Oh, and I think we should all assume that everyone here knows what's going on with Sejuani and the current changes to her kit. I hope we can all have a discussion about this. Now on to my thoughts. I feel like Sejuani should get more opportunity to stack Frost from range. Like, just make her Q and maybe the second part of her W give stacks along with her autos. I feel like this would help her fulfill the "leading the charge" role, as it would give her incentive to go in with her Q. To take that further, there should be some special thing that happens if Sej herself lands the first stack of Frost. Maybe allies are given a small move-speed buff when moving towards that champion? They could also just turn it into Braum passive and make it so that Sej has to be the one diving in.

Honestly, they could revert the W and I don't think I would care. I don't really have a problem with the new one (other than the fact that the second part hitbox is really thin), but I also don't have a problem with the current one. And hey, Bristle gets to auto attack. Maybe turn that into more of a mechanic? Like, Bristle autos are different from Sej autos?

Finally, I think that ranged champs should be able to stack Frost. Maybe it takes eight stacks of Frost to use E, with ranged champs giving one stack and melee champs giving two. I dunno.

Don't come here to complain about how Sej shouldn't have even gotten a rework,

no point to this thread then is there

make W a two-cast spell instead of the rengar-esque shit it is now. doesn't work when you have delayed spells and can move freely during it.

fucking trash her no counterplay % damage nukes. take it down to 10%, doesn't reapply with her ult. replace her E mechanics entirely would be the optimal choice here

The second part of her W does stack Frost on an enemy.

The overall rework for Sejuani is leaning towards success because of the main goals of class updates

  1. Relevancy which is tied a bit to having distinct gameplay "why play Sejuani when I can play Amumu"

  2. Cohesion making her kit work well together, not much has changed here accept you can argue the interactions between E and R for new Sejuani are less cohesive and can be frustrating

  3. Satisfying gameplay, there is now more skill expression in her W and E rather than "walk around and mash abilities off CD"

  4. I think she's more healthy now gameplay wise, of course I agree with many that her E has too much power and some of it should be put into W but that's just numbers

  5. Distinguishing champions of the same class from one another

  6. Updating old kits that have binary gameplay

Hate the rework all you want it's an overall success

Yeah, when people say that Riot failed on her rework the only point they ever seem to bring up is the leader one.

Sejuani has been my main for a long time. When he heard about the remake i quited playing her for a while. But last week i started to play her again.

My conclusion so far.

Sejuani has been a champion with a huge amount of impact on teamfights. CC, slow and AOE dmg. Her ult was impactfull and separated her from other champs. Right now i feel Sejuani struggles with her kid to stand out.

Passive Her passive is kinda cool.

Q Similar to her old Q.

W Her old W provided some good clear, definitly when you had some AP since it was scaling from AP. Also the damage on towers was good. Her new W seems to be low on damage and besides that it is not scaling very well. It is doing do damage on the tower. Another disadvantage is that a player needs to wait on the seccond attack to hit, before using spells again. The slow is a nice addition, but abit unreliable.

I prefer her old W

E The stun is abit similar to Braums passive, but a little weaker because you are the only person who can actualy trigger it. The singletarget damage on jungle monsters is in the low levels fine, but on champions abit disapointed. Her old E provided a decent AOE slow that was excelent after 5 points. 70%. Also the damage was good for clearing camps.

R Her old R was one of the most game changing abillities in game. Stunning 3-5 people was a great feeling. Missing it made you feel silly. Sejuani was a champ played around her ult and for Sejuani mains it was the reason to play this champion. It gave her power and identity. Her R right now is just another stun, with a area slow effect.

I believe the current kit of Sejuani is weaker then her previous one. Right now it feels like she is abit weak and i am sure that can be solved with adjusting some numbers. However thats not the right way to go.

I believe it is better to choose a champion because of the amazing abillities he/she has to offer instead of the amount of scaling power it gets. It is great that riot tries to develop the champions and the game. I hope riot realize the rework of Sejuani was a good try but the result was not as satisfying as the previous. It requires a lot of guts to turn back a rework, but deeply hope her old kit will be revived again.
