Juggernauts

Okay. I bet al lot of you guys and girls have heard this in game but I have just been having no fun in this game because of jugs and tanks. Specifically garen Darius nasus Renekton and illaoi. There r other champs that bug me like poppy and hecarim but these r my main concerns. The tilt factor is obvious. They build 0 damage or a black cleaver then full tank and they can face tank the whole enemy team while deleting carries. Garen- either full tank or black cleaver then tank. Because of his w he takes 0 damage and his e provides him with descent damage if he can get into a carry which isn't too hard with his q. And his ult allows him to delete carries after e or q. Don't like the true damage aspect. Darius- not much too say. We all know why Darius is op and riot doesn't care. Nasus- ok so nasus I find tilting af because he can build as tanky as he wants and 1v9. I dislike the fact that the argument for him being able to do that much damage is that "well he needs to get stacks". Because it's farming like any other champ. So he does what u do in lane but deals more damage and takes 0 :( Renekton- I've always had a bad spot for Renekton as he is the perfect example of black cleaver tank and he will do some of the major damage. I also don't understand the ults on nasus and Renekton as it allows them to extend their insane life even if your team happens to get them. Illaoi- I've straight up never understood why illaoi is allowed to do so much damage without more than one damage item. She will one vs one anyone ez but Ults any group of enemies which just decimates the entire team. There are many points about tanks and jugs that I want to say but I wanna see what kind of feedback I get from this. Probably things like well shit down nasus early or some dodge illaoi bs or maybe just "hey ur in bronze stfu" but I can't win anymore cuz I play fun champs while the enemy always picks free jugs and it just sucks. Riot needs to check it out.

First off all of these champions are highly immobile and susceptible to kiting and CC. Any decent front line can stave them off your carries long enough for your team to melt them.

Secondly healing reduction items like Ignite, Executioner's Calling and Morello's can all drastically limit their healing and sustain making them much easier to bring down. Executioner's is stupidly cheap 800 gold and builds from a long sword.

Thirdly Renekton is not a Juggernaut. He's a fighter and his scaling is really bad after mid game. He has neither the power or beef to build like a juggernaut and stay relevant. He needs 2-3 damage items and 2 tank items typically to do well. So he will be squishier and easier to kill. Again healing reduction really screws him as well.

Fourth Nasus's ult and by extension Renekton's ult are there b/c they have to be in the thick of a fight to do all their damage which means they need to be strong to withstand focus and still be relevant. Nasus even more so as he has only one primary damage ability in his Q. Nasus doesn't just farm like every other champ either. His farm is directly tied to his damage and not his items like every other champ. The farm only empowers one ability as well. If he is AA'ing creeps or farming with spirit fire he is gimping his only source of damage and passive. In other words he has to work twice as hard to get his damage and keep up with nearly every other champion in the game who can farm, wave clear and become relevant faster than him with items.

Fifth Illaoi is really simple. Don't fight in her ult. Again healing reduction destroys her sustain in this situation and she has no gap close or reliable CC. Poking her down and kiting her is really simple or if someone has really good CC you can lock her down and force her out of fight or out right kill her. Illaoi only thrives in large team fights so forcing smaller skirmishes or her to respond to your split push negates a lot of power from her as well.

Last point is none of them are tanks. Tanks have tremendous amounts of hard CC and lock down but little to no DPS or sustained damage without their team. Juggernauts have usually a single CC in their kit, lot's of damage, moderate dps and have difficulty engaging in a fight without a proper tank initiator. Darius probably being the only one with a decent engage tool but it's super short range and if he misses it's super easy to punish. All of them can build just one damage item yes but they typically all build 2. Usually Sterak's, Titanic Hydra or another damage item outside of BC, IBG and TF find their ways into their builds. Tanks typically only build tank b/c none of these items have great synergy on them. Even if they buy IBG their base dmg with the sheen proc isn't that much damage b/c they build nothing else to compliment it.

You just haven't developed the game awareness and skill to deal with these champs yet. They are not overpowered and have clear weaknesses. You just need to learn to exploit them.

Thanks for the advice and tip, it should help me out. I just think its hard because in bronze, people just play who they want so u cant make a team to counter certain aspects of these champions. I am a bit tired of getting a double sided cleaver being put up my ass by top laners.

Fastest way to climb and do well is pick a single roll and champ and spam them in ranked. I spam Nasus and got to Gold 2 this season. Fallen a bit from some bad luck but I will get it back. The problem is most people do not have the skill or knowledge to pick counters reliably and do well. It's better to always play what you know then to try and play a counter your have rarely played or worse, have no experience with.

I don't have the time to devote to learn every role and multiple champions for each. Instead I play what I like Top or Mid and play champs I am comfortable with. Nasus, Yorick and Shen for top and Cho, Galio mid.
