On lethality item changes

Wasn't the purpose of these changes to add options, lower the lethality of existing options, and add some sort of 2 piece set bonus to compensate?

Wasn't this supposed to make it so you could effectively have relatively equal power to before pre-season, while dissuading the purchasing of every lethality item?

This seems to have been implemented poorly, or there might be some bugs in the system.

Currently, the lethality "unique passives" seem to only be unique to each individual item itself, E.G. you cannot stack 6 item 3181 and get 60 lethality. You can, however, stack the "unique passive: 10 lethality" items with each other.

item 3147 item 3142 both kept their lethality counts, AND duskblade got a 5AD nerf to compensate its ward killing ability.....why?!

Currently, with all 5 lethality items, you can get up to 71 FLAT armor pen. 79 with sanguine's passive, and 86 with sudden impact as well.

Am I the only one who thinks this is an absolutely insane amount of flat armor to be penetrating?

86 is literally all of the base armor for nearly half the roster. Even 79 is all the base armor of roughly 15 champions. And, that's not even accounting for the 265 bonus AD it all gives.

Am I the only one who thinks this is not ok?

This is not a bug.. this is saying assassins have an item set so they dont have to buy tank items like BC, or frozen, essence, ie other items.. its for squishier poppier assassins. Every item will give lethality, otherwise assassins will kinda just be terrible in general.

that was the original goal, but there was some testing of that mechanic and it (allegedly) sucked and wasn't very fun, so they scrapped the set mechanic

While I do think they need to make it so that buying lethality after 2 limits them in some way, I think it might not be that much of an issue. I think tanks actually have a decent chance this season, also if they go the full lethality build they are going to be EXTREMELY squishy.
