Don't worry bro: The saddest thing, is that your can actually use Some of this items without being a tank, but if u want armor as a bruiser, or ADC, or mid you don't have a lot of options but tabi and deadman plate, zhonhya (only BC gives AP lmao)... And a full build of armor can be countered by But when u have 3 magic resistance items, it's imposible to deal any dmg... Maybe it's me that im dumb and i dont know know what to buy.. Have you ever tried to Beat a tank with +200 mr as a AP mage?

There are also plenty of AP items that counter MR item 3020 item 3135 item 3916 item 3165

The problem isn't itemization. It's simply the fact that ADs are not gated by cooldowns and mana, and almost every caster is.

There are defensive items for both AD and AP, but AD damage is so much faster and consistent that the items do less protection. Either AD needs to be taken down a chunk, or armor items need to be more effective.

Here’s an example for Taliyah, my main.

Core Build item 3003 item 3020 item 3165

I build these items first regardless of the enemy’s team composition. Unlimited Mana, 33 flat MPEN, Grievous Wounds, and 20% CDR found her build.

Anti-MR Build item 3003 item 3020 item 3165 item 3135 item 3151 item 3116

When the enemy stacks Magic Resistance, build as much magic penetration as possible, first with the flat penetration from the core build and then a Void Staff for scaling penetration. This build deals true damage or better against targets with up to over 60 MR at 3 items plus boots. Liandry’s Torment and Rylai’s Crystal Scepter synergize well with Taliyah’s Threaded Volley, delivering a massive burn over time.

Anti-Health Build item 3003 item 3020 item 3165 item 3151 item 3116 item 3089

When the enemy stacks Health, usually by building armor items but not any Magic Resistance, Taliyah can build Liandry’s Torment as a third item to deal percent health damage, Rylai’s Crystal Scepter to double this burn, and then a Deathcap for massive AP, conveniently also dealing massive damage to squishy targets, if the enemy tanks still haven’t built MR.
