What is going on with the honor system?

The new client hides ribbons completely. The only time it ever shows up is in the load in screen. Does this mean that the honor system is being scrapped completely with no replacement system or is there something in the works and I am just oblivious to it?

The honor system is useless. I get honored sometimes and sometimes I honor people. It seems few and far between that anyone actually honors. Like maybe one person out of both teams will honor. But what's the point other than a ribbon on my load screen?

I've got no clue if it hides it or not, you never see the ribbons anyway.
