A way to return mordekaiser's ghosts in a balanced way, from a 2 mil mastery morde onetrick

Many morde mains are quitting playing morde, recently mid mordekaiser; the most popular morde streamer and youtuber and they all have a common reason for quitting, the ghosts were removed. I personally don't enjoy him anymore, I just want to control ghosts. This change would push him to be more of a duelist splitpusher that shreds towers fast if he kills the enemy laner, here it is.

R - Stays the same but stat steal has been removed and morde gains a ghost if he kills the enemy that will do his bidding till the enemy respawns then it instantly disappears. The ghost has the appearance of the champion you ulted but does not gain the abilities, passives and stats of the champion killed. The ghost always gets killed in 6/8/10 autos scaling with ult rank. The ghost can only auto towers and does the same amount of damage and the same amount of attack speed to towers of the champion killed (this makes no sense but you get me). The ghost can be controlled by clicking R.

So morde gets to get a freebie 1v1, targeted ult AND gets my teammate at the end so towers are even more paper thin? You tried to balance it with only attacking towers, but this then gives morde a worthless ghost if his team doesn't go on to win the fight. This would be awful for one side or the other in any given situation. Not to mention that slapping an adc mid game and on would give you a ghost for a long time.

As a post rework morde main i love his kit now and thought he was garbage pre rework.

But i would kill to get the ghosts back

realy the whole kit should change tbh i dont feel like im playin morde its like im playing darius i just run ppl down with my passive i only have 2 damaging ablities and the ultimate is useless if the enemy have amobilty or cc thats like every champ in the game now the E is realy slow and easy to dodge the healing is useless Q is like illaoi's Q but just wider
i would be more than happy if they just revert rework and just keep the old morde or try to make his kit somethng like the old kit i kinda feel sad when i see how morde rework was vs how pantheon rework is . maybe if they change his ult and W to a damage abilty

He just needs scaling. My idea consisted of this: Passive (Aura): Scales with AP and Bonus Health. MS lowered. Base removed. Q: Damage per level removed, replaced with Bonus Health. Base increased, AP decreased. Amp decreased. W: Heal removed. Shield scaling at max lowered. Min scales with rank. Now instant procs passive on activation, but it doesnt deal max health damage. Normal passive is disabled till shield breaks or 4 seconds is up. In return, reduces damage taken by 5%. E: % Pen removed. Spell vamp becomes new E passive. R: Duration and stats scale with rank. Qss/Cleanses now allows Morde to keep the stolen stats for the duration, but the target leaves the realm and recovers their stats (basically how it works right now, except Morde doesnt get hard boned for it). New effect when killing opponent inside R.

Stats: Passive: (+ 35% AP) (+ 4/6/8/10% Bonus HP). 2% Bonus MS Q: 80/100/120/140/160 (+ 50% AP) (+ 15% of Bonus Health). 25% Damage Amp on solo target. W: 20% Max Health Max Shield. 5/6.25/7.5/8.75/10% Max Health Min Shield. Aura Damage based on passive's current damage (minus the max health damage). E: 6/7/8/9/10% of Damage Dealt Healed (post-mitigation). R: 4/6/8 second Duration. 5/10/15% of target's base stats. When Morde kills the target in the death realm, he gains not just the crown, but a spirit of the target they killed, who mimics morde's actions, but doesnt deal or take damage. (Numbers are not finalized)

I feel more like the issue with him is that his old Iron Man passive made him feel better to play, in that it rewarded aggressiveness but forced you to maintain that aggression or else you'd lose your Iron Man shield that you just built up, which is how enemy laners knew when to go onto him. Now you just hold onto your shield or use it to heal, but the amount often feels insignificant and the cooldown is so long even at max rank that you have to wait 10 seconds to hope to use it again. And you'd max it last because you need your Q as your bread and butter spell and your E's magic penetration passive is so useful the longer the game goes that you have to max is second.

Honestly, I think a lot of it has to do with the passive that deals aoe damage, and how it's so easy to proc and then maintain, that it eats up a good amount of his power budget. I'd be willing to have Morde trade off a bit more of that easy of access and maintenance, perhaps by making it rely only on ability casts to proc on enemy champions (large monsters is fine for jungle morde) and/or make it require four or five ability casts/basic attacks to proc (I'd make his Q slam count as two if it lands on one enemy champion.) This would not only make it possible to actually outplay Mordekaiser and not automatically trigger his passive aoe (and allow for more skill expression for the Mordes in turn), but it'd open up his power budget just a bit more.

Hell, at the very least give the maximum shield a scaling bonus from bonus HP so that it encourages some Mordes to invest a little in a bit of bulk. Juggernauts are designed to build HP over resistances anyways, and I found that the shield interaction with HP on Morde made it where I never felt bad for not going full AP.

I don't even feel like there's meaningful skill expression attached to him anymore once you learn his abilities.

He has very few ways to showcase it, and it's just so... binary.

Remove all his bonuses/damage granted by ultimate and make from it a 'fair' 1v1 where if you win... You get the ghost. 🤣

reserve that ghost ability for a true Necromancer champion. IK like a decade ago Riot said they werent going to touch a Necromancer type champion, but we all know theyre gonna get around to it eventually.
