Thresh hook script or just visual bug

Few times I saw that thresh is doing very nice hook that was beyond usual players skills of prediction (also I was playing akali so it's mobile champion). The point is that the hook landed in different direction that thresh was moving to, like, Thresh was heading to toplane, and he made a hook in other direction without turning around himself.

I reported this for scripting, but I am not sure if this was not just a visual bug
