they should implament a 'stars' system like hearthstone has. LP is just stupid, especially when every round gives or takes 20~ and the difference beween +/- 5 depending on your mmr doesnt impact your ability to rank up for shit.

I think LP was also used to add competitiveness; When you click on your ranked "league" you have a list of players who are in the same "league" as you (for instance, all players in Gold 3: Nasus's Stacks). You would compare yourself with other players.

Though this is forgotten, and most people don't know/don't care about it...

I hate that. They should have it if you're at 99, it automatically puts you into promos. It's a troll move to make you play a whole game just to get 1+ point. Happened to me twice and trust me, I cringed very hard.

Hmmm, that's debatable ... maybe the same treatment? Depends if Riot wants to be generous or not. Should be if you go above 96, you get an automatic win to promos but I digress.

Usually if you win the next game, it gives you a free win. That's what keeps happening for me anyway.

Although I'm not a fan of it, Riot does this sometimes to see if you can continue your win streak/if you have high mmr. Normally, you'll be able to get a division skip from my past experiences.

Unfortunately, I've never even seen a division skip. I never even knew it existed until I looked at the wikia. No one mentions it happening, lol.

Oh it is possible. You need a hella high MMR for that tho. I did it in season 5, skipping Gold 4, Gold 2 and Platin 4. Got stuck between platin 3 - platin 5 afterwards :d

I've had 2 of them in the three seasons of playing ranked; I had one in silver 3 or 4 and went to either silver 1 or 2, and I had one this season from platinum 4 to platinum 2. I'm a bit amazed that I got one for platinum 4 and 2, because I'm a bit stuck at platinum 1 at the moment. Regardless, if you have a 99 LP leftover with larger than 20 LP/won match, you'll likely get one at some point.

same happened to me in season 4. from Platinum promos (needed 1 win for plat) to Gold V because of my stupid emotions.

Lp should be turned into simple match counter.

Divisions should be divided by ladder of 10 games and you begin in half way through it (5/10) when you reach 10 you get promoted (without promos) and when you reach 0 you drop, and then you begin your higher/lower division with another 5/10.

This would solve uneven LP issue as well as the "games wants to drag you where you belong" (my personal reason i dont play anymore) where you lose more LP than you gain.
