No one plays support anymore

I've been playing team builder since it came out and playing league for a few years now and there is one major thing I've noticed is that no one wants to play support anymore. this is for good reason because the negatives of playing support are greater than the positives. when you play support you get yelled at by every one else on the team because you suck and don't have any kills but if you get kills you are bad because you KS. League has glorified kills to the point where no one wants to help they just want to get kills. I play a lot of support but I don't have any desire to anymore because it's better and less hassle to play any other role. I am not just complaining about support and then leaving I have some suggestions for Riot and how they can make Support more of a desired role to play for all. First make assists more useful in game for supports. this will let supports build better items and give them more reason to assist. Second make playing a support more rewarding than playing adc and other roles. if it is an RP boost of 5% or something else to give a desire to support. Third Have the kills and assists split so that you can see how many assists some one has had over their career in league. This gives value and glamorizes being a support and getting assists. Fourth If you end a game and have more assists than kills within reason like 5/10 give a bonus or reward to the support for doing a good job. Riot I know you have a hard time listening to your community and you don't like to be told what to do but get use to it and start making the least played, least liked, least filled role more play able. This will solve so many problems in game and in the community.

It's all perspective. As a support main, no one jungles

I main support in solo queue but when it comes to team builder I rarely ever support. When I do I check my adc's rating and leave if its below gold. It is kind of silly how varied the matchmaking is.

The last thing I want is to be stuck supporting a bronze adc while my lane opponents are both diamond.

"...no one wants to play support anymore..."

umm... its always been that way its not a new thing. I have most of my games as support as no one wants it I also learned jungle since that is second least wanted role. just my observations after 1300+ win in normal.

I do not play ranked and do not like team builder thing unless have 5 people to fill it. I play summoners rift only. the few games I have on other maps were for the free icons.

I may be wrong in my observations but i doubt it.

Between normal and team builder you only seem to have 215 wins. I do not think you have enough experience to be complaining. If you do not want to wait around in team builder for a support then play ranked. As far as gold gain is concerned there are masteries in the support tree that give extra gold as well as support items that generate gold.

They should give increased IP or something to people who queue roles that are needed at the time. So if tons of games are missing supports, give people who queue as support 10% bonus IP for that games or something. Idk just an idea.

couldn't we replace the word support with jungle for just about this entire post?

I have never waited more than 10 minutes for a support in team builder, however I have waited over 15 minutes in ranked queue just to find a game. They made supports fun to play during preseason 3.

i thought of a way that they might be able to implement giving supports better assist rewards. add something deep in the utility mastery tree that gives X more gold for assists or Y gold + Z exp extra. feel free to give feedback, there are almost certainly flaws with my idea.
