I played a customs game with a friend. He went DFGaren. I lost.

But he is useful late game and his health regen and tankiness scales well plus he has a decent CC in the form of a silence.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel Garen is in a decent position, atleast in lower elo where he can't be kited all day long (Like many other bruisers)

on the other hand. he is complete godmode titan carry early game. and is extremely fun to play. #spin2win ye bby get fed early game carry all game

that kindof depends on your build.

grab ghostblade, cleaver, and i.e. for your offensive items, and i promise you, he WILL deal damage. the problem is, when people are stacking too much defense on him.

not only are resistances worth less than they used to be, but damage got another buff with the new dragon and the better pots this season. garen deosnt just scale well with defense, but also with critical strike chance, ad, armor pen and cdr. if you dont want him to be useless, you need to find a balance in your build between defense to stay alive and offense to stay relevant.
