So I was looking at the base gates and I noticed that there are the 3 floating stones that make up the base gate to keep people out. Heres my idea on how that could be implemented in game play to allow more siege options. So if all three inhibs are up the gate acts as it does now not allowing anyone to walk through them from the enemy team. However if there are only two inhibs up then both gates lose one of their floating stones coordinating with what inhib was lost (i.e. if top inhib is down then the furthest left stone of the gate disappears) and the gates allows the enemy to go through the gate but applies a significant slow onto any enemy players that pass through the gate like a 65% slow for 2-3 seconds. If only one inhib is up then the gates show only one stone floating with the other two stones gone representing which inhibs are down, this gate with only one inhib up would also slow enemies that walked through it but by a lesser amount around 45-50% for 2-3 seconds. I feel adding this gameplay mechanic would allow siege comps to come back into the meta again because as it stands those inhib turrets are so hard to take down without either being super far ahead of the enemy team or possessing baron buff. With this mechanic your team can play around with the gates with more strategy by having a cc tank champ go in first to soaking up any damage the enemies might throw at your teammates following behind u and keep the enemy team away from ur teammates when they pass through and are slowed. Just my two scents about what could be done with the gates in future patches. Tell me what you guys think.

i think you are the minority who feels that inhib turrets are too hard to take down
