Why aren't these things just... done...

  1. Creep block fixed... JUST DO SOMETHING TO THEM. They literally glitch on top of you, on top of themselves, with trundles e... not that I mind that, i play trundle a lot... yeah (some how the sheer stupidit of how creeps move at the moment escaped my mind)
  2. 1 Refund a season (maybe even just for ip purchases) something to show you care about 5000+ upvotes.
  3. Tower damage increased - seriously... mundo at 6 can take 30 friggin shots...
  4. Hit box clarity. Hit boxes on MULTIPLE champs visuals are just... completely false.
  5. Trolls banned from Ranked for 10 games or as a punishment so we actually have something to prevent it.
  6. Thunderlord toned down. It's not hard to hotfix something 10-15%.
  7. Nerfs to lee sins top damage curve. When used right he 2 shots tanks the same level... That's never ok. ADC's and assasins can't do that.
  8. Buff mage junglers 10-15%
  9. Buff last whisper / armor pen items or nerf armor.
  10. Monthly status report on Behavior & Moderation. Show how many bans were issued, and for what. Show how many people were honored. There's no faith in this system. Add some. We simply don't believe a post that says only 5% of people get a punishment ever... it's absurd then and a failed system from where we all sit. Show us it isn't.
  11. Ban people we report from being on our team again for 5 games. It's not hard, it's not breaking. Don't put the troll we just reported for feeding 0/18 back on our team. It's not ok. It needs to stop.
  12. Tutorial Videos from RIOT. Show people how to play better. It's not ok that people get into ranked and have no idea how to build, what runes or masteries to have and feed because they have no idea how to ward or cs.
  13. Allow us to kick players in champ select or 1 free dodge per day. IF we vote on someone to kick because they're being a flaming asshole, then the game goes back to queue for 1 more person. It's not ok that someone sits there missing all the bans and says nothing and locks in some random champ and we're left to suffer. It's not ok that the 3rd pick just doubled up on jungle and refuses to switch. At least try it out and see how it works... please... or give us 1 dodge a day.
  14. A monthly post on "Known scams" would be nice. There were at least 5 fake snowdown websites that were phishing schemes designed to steal account info. I posted a forum here asking if it was true and the most was deleted... That doesn't help, show us things you know are taking advantage of people.
  15. Individual Score based LP gains and losses. If I got 10/1 and lose cause my team feeds 35 deaths in 25 minutes, I shouldn't be crucified with them for the -18 or more LP. It's not my fault my team had no business playing ranked at that level. Give people a reason to play well, maybe they will.
  16. Sandbox Mode - Allow us to test champions and master their combo and movements without having to waste hours.

Riot posted that preseasons are about testing things out. A lot. And that's not what we've seen, at all. We've seen a horrible snowball, towers that do nothing, and champions that are absurdly skewed. And their response is "we like the way things are going right now". What a crock... The above needs to be done or at minimum tested on live servers.

Obviously some of this stuff is a bit longer term than others. But some of it is like... turn on a switch or tweak one number. These should all be things that are done. Not thought about, not contemplate for a few years. DONE, this month or next. And we should know they're being done.

Just blown away by the complete disconnect between RIOT and the community. Ok we get it, you run the game, ghostcrawler messes up masteries every chance he can in any game he's designing and we have to deal with it. But can you please do the blatantly obvious? Or at least give us a straight. No we're not doing that. Deal with it.

Despite how hard? Do you even listen to yourself? This is easy stuff. RIOT is a BILLION dollar company. They have coders who can implement the changes I've suggested in seconds. You make no rational argument at all here, all you do is troll someone but let me pretend you aren't a complete toxic pos and explain why you're wrong.

For example:

  1. +1 refund can be done same as awarding any currency already available to the system, easy to award to "all players", done in gaming all the time.
  2. ALL aspects of this are precoded, it takes changing one number, literally, one number in code changes this. How long does it take you to type ONE number? oh right, replace all these letters I put in this post with numbers and I've typed dozens in seconds...
  3. My fucking iphone zooms in and out, with no problem at all, how hard would it be to adjust graphic size (like billions of people did since the era of myspace) or spell size. They already know how to do it too alla Vel'koz. Might take an hour or two of tweaking for someone who knows what they're doing and has dev tools.
  4. Entire system is already in place with billions of data points to work with and utilize. Could be done in seconds and monitored. Y'know... like what already happens but with slightly different parameters.
  5. IT'S TWEAKING ONE NUMBER... ONE.
  6. Slightly more complicated, might take some math that takes the average statistics student in college about an hour or two.
  7. More complicated, itemization would be fairly easy to increase when they have smite and use it on 30+ mobs. Might take a month or three of adjusting. But that's what PBE is for and they've already said they NEED to do this but haven't done it yet.
  8. Adjusts numbers, easily changed numbers in prewritten code.
  9. They already have it, it's just internal.... so how about we share? So secretive? Why?
  10. Would need to be created. 2-3 months coding a system for it. 2-3 more to adjust for abuse situations.
  11. Copying a post that says "how to get fed in lane" that some youtuber put up isn't leading our community to learn when all it does is say to cs and poke... Longer term project but with SOOOO much LCS footage I'm sure RIOT could come up with awesome videos and tutorial experiences. At current, there's a huge void. Half the people in the game don't even know which walls you can flash through or what mastery, runes and items they should use. And the "suggested" items is just a joke on 90% of champs.
  12. Easily implemented code if just an awarded dodge, 2-3 months for the other. MAYBE the new champ select will help... We'll see...
  13. They already have this internally and it's monitored on the forums with extreme prejudice. Scam site posts are removed nearly instantly.
  14. This would be the single most difficult thing but also the single greatest thing to happen to league ever. Focusing on the "team that plays together, loses together and wins together" isn't acceptable in the setting of solo queue. It's SOLO queue for a reason. Your SOLO experience should be based on what YOU do SOLO. If everyone knew they'd get more LP if they got higher scores and less if they do poorly win or lose and lose you may not be screwed the LP people might actually play better because their INDIVIDUAL performance matters. As is, if there's a fed jax on the team, you can go 0/350 and it wouldn't matter because the jax is gonna carry. And you get the SAME LP as him? Why? What did you do to contribute to the teams success? Focus on giving the individual reason to improve their gameplay instead of blaming team mates and we might have a LOT less trolls.

Hope this clears it up for you. If not, you're beyond help and I couldn't care what you say next.

I'm going to tackle two of your main points here. First of all, it's not just "one" number. You have to check it with every single interaction. There have been changes to "one" number and it causes all kinds of glitches, causing them to have to revert it, and find out what code messed with that code. You can't just change a percent and expect it to work, as there are many codes that tell it what percent to be after something has buffed or nerfed it. If Riot just changed numbers and did not test for them, this game would be a buggy numbers mess. Coding is a lot more difficult despite what you think- One simple change to you is a nightmare for Riot. They have so many interactions that need to be tested and/or worked out, and this is the reason champs are taking longer and longer. Second, I will tackle number 14. Solo Queue: It refers to your ability to work with a team of anonymous people and how well you will react. League is a team game- it's made to punish teams for messing up and reward teams for working together. Feeders are another issue entirely, and there are people who have really bad games that aren't even feeding intentionally (You can't do good every game.) If you are doing so well, go help another lane get fed. Go teleport bot as a fed top laner and score your ADC a double kill. Gank mid a couple more times if you are jungling. Roam hard if you are a fed mid laner. Work together, no matter how unbearable the situation or environment- THAT is Solo Queue. It is not a test of your individual mechanics- It is a test to see how well you can work with others to achieve a single goal- victory.

And while I am at it, here are short answers to some of your ideas. 11. You want Riot to program a bunch of shit while constantly releasing noob help guides? There are youtubers for that, which they frequently advocate because they are GOOD. They go in depth and explain good times to engage. You don't even watch them, do you...? 7. Runic Echoes is coming out soon. There are still a few decent mage junglers that can work, albeit some of them are a bit weak. Soon a lot of AP mages can jungle. 6. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH Lee can two shot tanks... Sure, if by tanks, you mean a level 5 Vayne vs. a Level 8 Lee Sin with Black Cleaver. And you have to compare it with each champs armor and magic resist to make sure Lee doesn't overdo it on one champ while doing jack to another. 13. There is a damn pin on the boards that tells you that. 4. "Slightly different parameters" You know nothing about how coding a game as massive as league works, do you?

Since you've taken some time I'll address your concerns.

First part is true. And it's why there are test servers. You check out tweaking that percent, by a small percent, and see what happens. It's pre-season, it's test servers... I'm asking that we have something done... something to show us instead of a huge sign that says "we'll get to it when we get to it kid, btw, we're not gonna get to it".

Second is false. I react very well, I gank mid from top, or jg gank and get people fed, all that fun stuff and I typically am a great person to have on your team. So MY performance with a group of randoms is very good, THEIR performance (something entirely outside my control) is lacking in the extreme. I'd say it accounts for about 60% of my losses. Someone going 0/10 (sometimes worse), an afk, or players that refuse to team fight properly. These are things that are THEIR issues, and I shouldn't lose LP at the same rate they do. It's simple. I did well, they didn't. The mastery system has done well showing this and although there are some tweaks that would be needed, it's very possible and IMO should be done to weed out a LARGE portion of toxicity. If it didn't matter that your team mates a lunatic that likes to run to nexus and yell TOUCHDOWN! Then you would have a better way to handle the urge to tell them things about their mother.

  1. Yes, I'd like a gigantic corporation to release general guides for how to play a position or sticky the better ones. I youtube, I read mobafire and have done and continue to do a ton of things to improve my play. But I firmly stand by this because I truly believe that unless their's a RIOT logo on the video with a GIANT ARROW pointing everyone to it so they can learn, then it won't help the average player.
  2. Yep, let's hope, and cross our fingers....
  3. Yes, a properly played lee, 3/0 vs. 3/0 same level trundle. q r q, dead. literally 2 shot. How? I dk, I was DUMBFOUNDED when I saw it. I was carrying my team and lee comes out of no where and boom instant death... So I believe he has a VERY OP high damage curve someplace he shouldn't and it needs looking into. I'm talking about the "best case scenario" that developers should use to gauge a champion. I believe that it's too high as does a large portion of the community and the basic consensus from RIOT is that they won't change him because people will QQ.
  4. Great... I'll have to look for it. Thanks for your help.
  5. The systems literally already there and taking it into account. All you have to do is assign a new punishment to the accounts that trip it. Instead of a chat restriction they get a "must do normals" for 5 games.... It's not hard. It's literally already being done. But we're punishing people who are upset with trolls and afks and feeders because they can't adequately express their frustration instead of properly going after the cause of the issue. When it gets to a ban, great, but there needs to be another step and removing them from ranked where they can't cause real "damage" and making it clear that being in ranked means you're going to actually try to play should be done.

I've coded games and paid for the coding. I know you have to test interactions and make sure modifiers don't suddenly give you 10k damage cause you have a random bit of code it looks for and then tested. It would take me minutes to change certain things like this on the games I worked on and I fully trust RIOT to be capable of doing this well and extremely quickly. The fact is that the reason they don't is that they don't want to. When a Red post comes out and says "we're happy with how pre-season is going" I want to puke because it just shows a complete disconnect with what's actually happening. So I look through the big list of things we want. Ideas in this list have THOUSANDS of upvotes, hundreds of posts and comments and somehow just get ignored. I don't think that's right.

MasterSomething1 votes

Yes, you have coded games, sure. But how massive were they? League of Legends takes a huge amount of space, and there is more code to deal with and more trial and error. You saw that Red post about the time they disable ranked, right? And the Red post about the pre-season, is mainly their opinion. Other players may not like it- But then again, I don't see many people on the boards ADAPTING. Which is what this game getting constantly updated is about.

Now, to counter-refute: My second main point: If you work very well, and your team is still doing horrible, then it's your job to carry them. You can't help trolls, afks, and the sometimes real stupid idiot- That's the price you pay when you play a team PvP game. Riot has done it's best to change this curve. I will admit, LP could be handled slightly better, but Solo Queue is notorious for it's terrible environment, and Riot is working to change it. The new champ select heading out into ranked is going to fix some of the issue with trolls who don't get their role. I once blamed my losses on my team. I then chose to main Blitz and/or champs that contribute to the team heavily, and I bumped up immediately to Silver III. I also encouraged my team to do well, told them they were doing great, they will get them next time, and tried to help them when possible. Be positive, and you are already, be more positive- Your teammates will be encouraged to try harder, and play smarter. Now about your issue with individual scores- Let's say I killstole all game, took most of my teams farmed, ruined their lanes for them, took their turret, and ruined my jungler and got an A for it even though we lost. All those people? They are probably going to lose a lot of LP because their scores and or activity was sub-par and terrible. I just profit. And Solo Queue, as I said, is a hard place- You can do well, but you have to ensure your team does well. Your team member won't get fed every game- sometimes they will get camped, curbstomped, countered, whatever. Just understand that you can still do your best, others can to, but sometimes their best isn't enough and they will do poorly. It's your job, if you did well, to get those poor ahead, and encourage them they can do better. Now, for the lower points:

  1. I'm pretty sure some Rioters would love to do that, honestly. But they have their work, families, and probably some extra side jobs they want to do. These guys don't work 24/7, and sometimes they have families they need to attend to. There was also some kind of "LoL class" (cannot remember name right now) that actually did this stuff. You should probably ask about this. But for now, wouldn't you say it is more convenient to let youtubers do this, rather than waste some time making a video probably only some people will watch?
  2. You can find the details at Surrender@20. It's basically a Luden's Echo now.
  3. OK, give me another example, because this one can be easily countered by "How much health did you have?". Lee's Second Q works on missing health, and Trundle tends to build a damage item first. We also don't know the Lee's build at the time. He also might have gotten a few empowered autos in or even his E. You said it happened quickly, so you may remember the details incorrectly.
  4. I coulda said that a little nicer, but they do leave pins about dangerous stuff when something is up.
  5. Alright, there could be ways to do it, but it will take time. And your idea? That idea is total shit. I am not going to sugarcoat it. Ranked isn't the only queue, and if they get that punishment instead of chat restriction, gets who gets the real punishment having to play with toxic players? That's right, the casual normal guy. While there could be more, forcing them to play normals where they will probably cuss out some poor guy who wants to have fun isn't smart. Now about the people that flame... That's their fault, and it's established. There are other people in the game who have to hear that person. "There is a mute person, problem solved" except when the first thing they say is 100% toxic and rude. I understand when I get a troll, I wanna yell at them and kick them out and report them, but I keep it all inside and just report him. I compliment my team and the enemy team, and if they like my positivity they will help me get the guy banned. You know what you are typing before you put it in. You have an outside of the computer, where others can't hear you, to yell and be angry. And this point was about Hitbox parameters, lol... I'm just glad you are taking the time to respond to me nicely and taking time out of your day to do it instead of flaming randomly like SOME QQ boards.

Hey, sorry to have to be here again, but Riot themselves has stated why they don't want a sandbox mode- A person could potentially spend days in there and come out almost immediately better than an LCS player because they know every single skillshot speed, the best way to dodge it, and they would only be level 5, making the intro gate even worse. Now before you say "Practice should be rewarded" Riot does want that- in the actual game, not an endless session of dodging Lee Qs.

And I'm certain Riot is wrong about this and that it's a reason why there's such a HUGE learning curve at the bottom of the game. Players are literally thrown into the frying pay without any ability to really test out a champion and what their skills are or timing should be. And I don't care how much you practice with one champion. You are NOT going to be better than an LCS player off the bat.

MasterSomething1 votes

At the bottom of the game, you are learning by fighting against players of similar skill level. There IS custom mode, and you can try out stuff there as well as bots mode. And while I may have exaggerated, what I said still stands- A dedicated new player could spend a lot of time in practice, then come out and rek the shit of anyone he went against, because he knew exactly what to do with little effort. Riot wants people to learn through experience, not endless practice. Also, this is 26 days old man...

Riot hears ya. Riot doesn´t give a damn.

Tower damage increased - seriously... mundo at 6 can take 30 friggin shots...

Next thing you´ll want is for tower shots to pass through Kayle's ult.

Hit box clarity. Hit boxes on MULTIPLE champs visuals are just... completely false.

Trolls banned from Ranked for 10 games or as a punishment so we actually have something to prevent it.

Yeaaaaah, no he doesn´t. I hate Lee Sin as much as the other guy, but seriously, he can´t two shot a Shyvana if they´re equal on any and everything. She, however, can beat him to death.

Buff mage junglers 10-15%

Buff last whisper / armor pen items or nerf armor.
