But yeah...I main support and I have been trying to make her work. I'm not sure if she's an awful support, I'm not playing her right, or my adcs are too impatient/expect me to sustain them.

They play her there just out of a habit, but she's slow, squishy, mediocre utility until item 3116 and every other mage outdamages her there, after the AI change completely.

And people like to cry more that to learn to play against her.

She can really pack a punch if you land some skill shots at the right time, but she has very little utility for a support. She just has a mediocre slow, a snare, and an unreliable knock up. Also, her mobility is the worst! Cant do much if you haven't waited 30 or more seconds to establish seeds, so roaming even a tad bit is impossible as a Zyra Support.

To make things worse It takes a while to build item 3116 as a support since she has to get item 2301 or item 3092 The nice thing is, as a support she doesn't have to build as many mana regen items beginning game.

After playing her some more I agree that she's not a good support option. Hell, Lux is A LOT more reliable support than zyra

Basically.

Only thing I say is that her roaming is not really bad, you can just use your E and Vine Lasher to zone the enemy and help your ally to land their CC, but it works far better for Zyra mid ganking bot because of the escape paths.

I'm a mid, top, jungle and AP bot carry (if I'm autofilled as bot and we have another AD damage) Zyra, but never support. Yes, my name is relevant.

Hey there, I think she does alright as support, mostly because of the smae reasons brand does 'alright' there. But i tend to max E first as support Zyra. just my two cents

I'm just lobbing here to convince people to stop playing her there in general, I'm sick of her being nerfed because of that role and people crying instead to learn how to play against her. I belive if I'll be annoying enough, people might actually trust me and stop that.

But tbh every other mage "support" outclasses her now from a reliability and usability points of view.

I'd like her to be nerfed (she's good against Zyra, lul), but she's the Lee Sin of the midlane, she gets most likely the Charm damage reduced by 5 and passive healing buffed by 20 to compensate.

As I understand they both might be pretty frustrating to face and snowball as fuck, I love Yasuo match up since I learned how to play against them, but let's be honest, Yasuo's kit is way more overloaded with less visible weaknesses than Zyra's xD

LOL, nice. I suppose that is mostly true. But she is less of a "support" more of a mini-carry for teams that lack magic damage. ALSO (excluding exhaust for support) i am having trouble picking a summoner besides flash because i don't feel i am in range enough to ignite when i need to, kinda like azir.

Depends on a matchup, but I take Ignite 99 % of time because I'm confident with her and I know that of I hit Grasping Roots at level 3 and am able to get at least two plants, my combo with Ignite kills anyone and most of the time I get their Flash, too (sometimes I however use it, too, to get to Ignite range or the last two basics).

Her rework left her with a lot of issues.

She was never that obnoxious to lane against compared to this version.

Riot wanted her to be more plant-based, which gives her more zoning potential. However, they had to reduce her damage as a result, which affected her mid lane. She is popular in bot lane because early game ADC is just ripe for being abused.
