In Game Team Voice Chat

It is nice being able to communicate with your duo partner in ranked. However, communication in general (especially in lower ELOs) is more difficult. It's not optimal to have to type when your in a fight and half the time your team doesn't listen to pings. I think it would be beneficial to be able to be connected into an in game voice chat with your whole team rather than just one other person that you have to be duo'd with to even have the option. Now, the first issue that comes to mind about this is how toxic people would be over the mic. I don't believe this will be as big as an issue as most may think. I don't like comparing League to Overwatch, but in this case Overwatch DOES have the full team chat system. And I actually have ever had only a few issues where people were legit straight up toxic. Almost everyone else either is friendly and fun to talk to while playing and communicate what they see with the team really well, or they don't use the mic at all and just play the game. How do you deal with the toxic people? The same way you do now. Just mute them. Communication in a game like this is very important and people respond faster to verbal communication rather than having to read text or watch for pings. No, this will not make pings worthless because they are essential for visual map communication. It's easier to ping where certain things are like wards and the pathing of enemies through the jungle than to verbally say "Hey their mid laner is roaming bot through the river and is heading towards the rear tri-brush" and with the combination of verbally warning your teammates "their mid is roaming bot" and pinging the direction will both grab the attention of your teammates and help them know where they need to go afterwards to avoid any bad situations. If you don't like talking while playing then nothing is stopping you from turning off your mic and playing as you normally would. I don't see any issues with making this a feature since you can literally turn the feature off if you so wish or mute any toxic players you don't want to have to listen to blaring nonsense in your ear.

There is no excuse to not have full team chat, whether with or without friends. Just like the actual text chat, a toxic player can be muted. There is nothing wrong with muting a toxic player in voice chat, just like muting a toxic player in text chat. Your team members who are not toxic can still communicate and the game can be peaceful after the toxic player is muted. Just like with text chat.

So is there any other reason to not have voice chat among people who are not in a party?

Please add team voice chat, without it the game is literally unplayable as an E-Sport in ranked
