Why play tanks when you can play bruisers

Seriously, these champions baffle me. Why would you EVER play a tank when you can play a bruiser that suffers NONE of the drawbacks of tanks (low damage) and get the benefits of high damage with the SAME or even MORE tankiness then tanks. Until this problem is solved (I.E. Bruiser durability is nerfed) why would anyone EVER play a tank? Some even have powerful CC, like Darius and Renekton so what do tanks have that bruisers don't? They even have very easily escapable or spammable mobility like Camille or Fiora so why would ANYONE ever play a tank?

It's for the crowd control right now.

The reliable powerful CC isn't Darius or Renekton. The only one who has the most powerful reliable cc is Camille out of your 4.

Tanks are suppose to be able to shrug off even more damage and apply much better crowd control. Right now though, that damage that tanks are meant to deal with is just is just fucking them up.
