Lamb & Wolf Separate champs

They are coming. Listen to their tale.

I believe The lamb and wolf is actually the first duo champion designed to directly affect each other and actually fill two different roles as detailed below.

The Wolf He is the jungler and always roams and hunts for kills whenever possible.

The Lamb She could be either a mid or top laner but i think mid lane is more likely just based on her voice :p

why not bot lane? Well that is because riot has told us they are not an assassin or a support, though i suppose the lamb could be an adc but that doesn't really fit with the theme.

How they work together While both live they each have their own skills that is directly related to the overall theme of wolf or lamb; when one dies and the other lives is when these two get interesting as i suspect that if the lamb dies the wolfs abilities change in effect and vise versa, what these changes will be only riot knows though i suspect it is based off of garens villain system but includes assists as well.

Dude Champ select wouldn't allow for this! Ah but it could easily as both of them could stand as their own unique champion thus could be banned independently, this is where i think the masks on death come into play so that if either one is banned they can still get their unique transformation powers by assisting or getting kills thus earning mask transformation stacks, in short when only one is on the team this mask system fills in for the other champion not being picked.

What if each side picks one? This could be handled two ways, the first being if you pick the lamb or the wolf it automatically makes it so ONLY your team can pick the other champion, alternatively both could rely on the mask system when on opposite teams though i think the first option is more likely and fits more theme wise.

Disclaimer I could be 100% wrong on this, it is nothing more then my opinion on the subject and is only meant as a discussion point based on the limited information we currently have.

I doubt it, I can't imagine them doing anything where a champ's abilities change because another champ is also picked. How would it work in champ select? What if the enemy team picks the other half?

If you bothered taking the time to read my post you'll see i briefly covered this, and dedicated a small section just to that.

I don't mind that you disagree with me, but I'd appreciate it if you'd at least read it before doing so rather then reading the title and getting huffy.

I literally only skipped those 2 sections o.0 Now I feel stupid. I still doubt your solutions are something riot would want to do however.

Personally my guess is either a morphing champion that uses a mechanic to transform in a similar vein yo Gnar where the player can't fully control it, or for it to be a 2 characters as a single champion. Just my personal guesses and I'm not sure how I'd expect either to play out with what little info we have

Well i'm 99% sure it won't be a switching champion since guy who made it said we would be surprised by the champion, and switching champions are hardly uncommon or surprising.

I don't think so, most because of the last line from the teaser. They don't want to be alone, so they'd stick together.

I'm really hoping they're a form switching champion like Jayce.

Possibly, or it could be something thats an improvement to kallistas soul bound where the lambs ult can summon the wolf or some such. I don't deny it could be a simple switching champion it would just be disappointing given how out of the box thinking all the other champions have been lately.

There is no fucking chance.

It is almost assuredly a switching champion, either in the style of Quinn with a long CD ult, or in the style of Jayce/Nidalee/Elise. We havent had a shapeshifting in a LONG time.

Although relistening to it, I believe it will simply be one champion with the split theme, where their skills have different uses depending on who is using them (stancing changing like Udyr almost, or shapeshifting like others without changing range/playstyles).

Oh this is definitely possible, ive just noticed lately how much riot has been experimenting with champions that interact with others such as tahm kench and kallista and you have to admit it would be interesting if it was in fact two champions that affect each other.

I think switching chamions are cool but i also think we have enough of them that do this already and riot has been making out of the box champions lately for their newest creations, which is one of their stated goals and why i think this is possible to begin with.

Why do people keep talking about switching? The teaser seems to make it pretty clear that they are two separate individuals who stick together. I bet it's going to be two individuals who move and attack in unison.

I bet it'll be control of 2 champs at once: you control 1 primarily with the other acting like a controllable Pix (autoattacks enemy that you are autoing) but you can micro him like Tibbers if you want. Being in each form gives you unique abilities. Your ultimate is available at lvl. 1 and allows you to shift primary control to the other form.
