Please tell me what to do verses a decent Singed come mid/lategame.

Singed has no counterplay, and is extremely frustruating

I seriously do not know how I can play against a good Singed. Lane phase I'm sure is the place to crush him, if possible, but as soon as he gets an item or two on you, or the laner feeds him, he becomes soooo tanky without building tank items besides health lol, I kinda laugh at how little I can do against him.

I run away from him>He is faster than me and flings me, diving any and all turrets occaisionally including the fountain to do so.

I try to burst him down>He is tanky enough that it cannot be done except by a very fed Veigar.

I try to autoattack him to death>He runs away, killing me with his poison if I chase. That is, if he doesn't just straight up 1v1 me without taking half his health in damage.

I get my team to focus him>His carries kill our team in the process because our efforts are concentrated on the tank

I ignore him?> lol poison/fling, get rekt

Seriously, I must be horribly ignorant or doing something wrong but I don't see any weaknesses in Singed'd kit/playstyle that I can abuse once he gets his items. Any help?

Edit: You don't chase singed, you basically tell him if you go into lane I will hurt you. I won't kill you but I will hurt you, a lot. Then he doesn't get any farm and is useless.

Edit Edit: As Sun Tzu said, you don't need to kill your enemy to win.

Ah, I see. Thank you for the countering tips, they will be much appreciated should I ever have to face a Singed. I guess if he starts getting fed though, well, most any champion becomes devastating when fed so I guess I shouldn't be complaining.

No problem, The best way to counter someone is knowing your champ better than them.
