Hey there community!

Janna is a very popular champion, she has a high pick rate, and a pretty high win rate. But is riot satisfied with the current state of Janna? Sure, some champions are in more need of a VGU, but i think she's on the same level as Morgana/Kayle Her kit seems to be pretty outdated, and she is probably the hardest support to have a good and a heavy impact in a game. She nearly disappeared in competitive play, cause there are better supports rn. The most of her splasharts are pretty crusty too. (Tempest, Hextech, Fnatic ) And I think, that the hextech skin doesn't feel like a real hextech skin. (Compared to Galio, Anivia or Annie) Things that I really like about Janna, is the new lore and the voice, in my opinion, both are fitting her perfectly.

I think you're absolutely right and the only thing between her and getting some attention is the fact that there are champions who need more immediate attention

I main Janna and think she's perfect, not everyone can play her to her full extent. I just fear Riot touching her and ruining her honestly. As for her lore idk I find it off. She went from being a sorceress to some kind of deity that needs people to wish for her to appear. Oh and is randomly a shapeshifter now? Which isn't reflected in her kit at all and actually somewhat backwards since her "elemental" is a bird, but apparently she can become one.. ? I definitely don't want her to shapeshift however, im aware there are champions that have abilities stated in their lore that arent reflected in their kits. Like Lux's ability to go invisible for example.

Hey there! I main her as well, but I guess im not good at the game in general. I think her old lore was more random cause she was a orphan but some day she found out she had some powers, joined the league of legends, and is now in the spotlight at parties? lol Shapeshifting is something, that could be included in her new kit, since the lore told us about it but I'd rather not have it included.

I think that she could use a little "touche up" too. She's pretty outdated in my opinion.

Hello there, to be honest as a fan of League of Legends, I find Janna to be a very strong solid champion by lore, character, and story wise back then when she was an orphan backed and yeah I know there are a lot of people appreciate her a lot back then and considered a fan of her and to me, I feel like I'm playing a summoned unit from Final Fantasy as a playable character rather than a "summoning unit" which is brilliant and it did fit her I believe and at that time I was strongly interested on her from the competitive overall stories from the likes of Ahri, Garen, Sona, Twisted Fate, etc with a few monthly updates back then and at one point asked myself wait...is Janna suddenly friend's with Lux??? and that's how you make a compelling intriguing lore. (maybe some of you guys don't find it realistic that way but I know there are people who appreciate her lore) The only thing I didn't enjoy though back then was how they make fun of her previous stories back like dating a summoner in the old Journal of Justice Files in Blitzcrank dating service but that's just a minor dislike I guess cause it's unrealistic. Nether the less she did make a strong impact as a champion I believe and she's just being overshadowed by many fan favorites from the likes of Ahri and Jinx.

But judging from her current changes in her lore I had a bit of mix feelings from the way they change it and to be franked I did see a lot of people complain about her new splashart back then that could be a factor and looking at her right now I feel that she's becoming an underrated champion nowadays due to many new champions and other global changes that affect the whole verse (and I believe this can be a factor and I know RIOT seems to rework each of them one by one but who knows...maybe they'll rework her one day) and come on, she's often used in most of the tournaments way back from 2009 and to 2015 (I think she's still a popular choice though to the present day). These dramatic changes strongly took happened around the end of 2014.

TBH, I have nothing wrong of Janna becoming a deity some sort like a sudden saint from nowhere but they better make it interesting like how she become one and I already find her old lore back in 2011 compellingly good. I have no idea what kind of directions are they pulling into Janna nowadays but these factors can be hunched by how the community thinks of her, no not just her but the whole League of Legends in general, and parts that could possibly overshadow a lot.

That's my overall past and present time perspective, opinion and appreciation about Janna these days. and nether the less she'd still make a huge impact on League of Legends.

Old post you say huh? to be franked I think this conversation isn't past a year so I believe this post is still young in my books ^_^ unless it's a year. I just keep browsing though at a random rate. anyways.....

I have no power on changing it's lore in it's present day compare to what can be done in the past (Unless neither me or one of my friends got employed into Riot games haha) and they are so many factors in it. Perhaps if they only brought back her old lore a bit and somebody in the LOL universe suddenly made her like that like a living spirit she is now then perhaps it's a one solid story that could delight anyone and bring it's interest back. Other than that I'd still have a great interest seeing an official lore interaction between Lux and Janna.
