Is there a reason that Kayle's rank 1 ult has one of the longest CD's in the game?

It's 160 seconds if you didn't know. The question, is why? It was 100 seconds before her rework; what could possibly justify raising the CD of her ult by a full minute? Please tell me, because I'd really like to know. How am I supposed to compete with other champs when their ults come up nearly twice as quickly as mine on average? It's not like Kayle's ult is some instawin ult that makes her impossible to deal with.

They wanted to double down on Kayle's power late game,by making her early game weaker by comparison so they increased her most powerful defensive tool early game to give longer windows for teams to punish her.

kayle ult at level 1: 160s cd. cant aa until ass-end of the effect itself.

tryndamere ult at level 1: 110s cd. still gets aa, and last longer.

seems fair.

Because they designed Kayle to get absolutely destroyed by everyone until level 11. Therefore, an ult that can save her from getting @$$blasted every time she wants to farm was set to be at a ridiculously high CD just to keep her down.

Because you're not supposed to deal with people, you're early game Kayle. Sure other late game champions have shorter cooldowns but their ults don't have something Kayle's has; a 2 second window where you say "no" to any damage they throw at you which is huge.

Because it's on demand targeted invulnerability with an AoE damage component.

Yes. The same reason why her rank1 ult has a huge ass cooldown.

Kayle also just needs a hotfix in general. As is, a lot of her kit is super wonky, and I expect her late game to get dialed back eventually (encouraging that her early game be improved). In particular, her E being a ranged-empowered AA as opposed to a ranged on-hit ability means it takes more mechanical muscle memory than, say, Parrley (Gangplank Q) since she is melee at the start (when it's most useful). Her Q has a delay, is obvious, the projectile is fairly slow, and the cast time is also slow. Her W is fairly clean-cut, though I wouldn't be against her getting 25% more healing if she casts it on herself while alone (a similar buff I'd like to see with summoner 7 ).

As for stats and scalings... I'm not great with analyzing hybrid-stat champions, but it seems she would benefit from an early Sheen into Hextech Gunblade, eventually the former into Lich Bane. I wouldn't be surprised if she also has a viable crit path similar to Gangplank's as well.
