Would you guys play with your bronze friends?

I want an honest answer, I have many friends but they are all bronze and silvers and in the games I play with them I have to hard carry them and its getting frustrating, they only play for fun, I also only play for fun but I am Gold and I have no clue what to do with them because its getting to the point of me just getting tired of watching them play like shit and rage at the random dude that did nothing wrong. Some of them say they are competitive and shit and they think they know what they are doing but its just painful to watch...

What would you guys do?

Don't play ranked with them?

Subtly let them know what they need to improve on. You are gold. They will listen to you. I've played with many bronze players whom I've considered as "friends" in the past. It's not enjoyable when they do poorly, but it is enjoyable to watch them grow based on your advice.

I do. I'm silver 3, but I don't mind playing with my bronze 5 buddies. I trust the match maker. On average, if I have a bronze 5 on my team, there's one on the other team.

To be honest, I do not have flamers in my friends list. If that guy I just added on my list turns out to be a jerk when things go poorly, he'll be deleted instantly. That being said, if they are not open to your advice, just stick to normals and derp around a bit yourself. Use those games to relax and have a laugh, not to win.

As a high silver/low gold player I play with bronze friends almost every time I play League. Besides the fact that they are friends, and I therefore enjoy talking to them, I enjoy playing games with them, regardless of who is at what skill level.

To be fair my friends don't rage. They all play for fun, and the ones below my skill level are fine with winning or losing. Enough losses makes anyone just want a win from time to time, but I have champions for that, and I know how they play. I can hard carry if I need to, but I'd rather spend the early game practicing my CSing and the rest of the game rampaging around the map looking for picks and testing my luck with ill advised split pushing.

If they did rage I'd get into a one on one call with them and talk to them. It's a very disruptive problem that can put others on tilt, making every match you get into less and less fun. The only way you can fix this problem for them is by not playing with them when they start to tilt, so you should talk to your rage filled friends and let them know it's a problem they have to solve.

I created a second account to play with Silver and Bronze friends. I will say, those are some of the most frustrating games I have ever experienced in league. I half regret creating the account, because the grind was long and tortuous to get to level 30.

I think I got use to Gold players simply rarely making really obviously bad plays. Low silver and Bronze players make several mistakes per game and do not react the same way when it comes to objectives.

They also tend blame others more often, even though they make equally poor choices in-game.

It is nice having a smurf account in which I don't care about my rank, but at the same time those games often give me headaches.

Games are just thrown so much more often. It also puts a lot of pressure on me to hard carry a game. There was one game recently I played, which I felt I did everything I could to win the game and we still lost by a LARGE margin because the bottom lane fed really hard.

I need to take into account though, that I was really bad around this time last year and made A LOT of terrible mistakes while learning the game.

I got significantly better, but some of my friends are still sitting in Bronze or low Silver and they have played the game for years. It simply means they have hardened some of their bad habits and/or they do not have much prowess in executing skills in the game.

I wish it was the latter, but typically it is the former. My friends that have played the game longer than me, are even less prone to listening. I have only played the game for a little over a year, but I have a better understanding of it than most of them.

This is exactly what I mean... they are still fun from time to time too but I mean if you realize you are playing a real league game then you want to win and make plays and have fun feeling accomplished... not just watching how what you learned is going thru the window because people at their elo don't understand certain aspects of the game

If my goal isn't to win, sure.
