@everyone the assassin item
I under stand the inherent powers the new assassin has. my question is would it be good to build on marksmen? Why or why not

or
could work well with it. I don't get why it's even an item when it's just an Overpowered DFG for AD assassins.
If I remember correctly it was added as assassin were weakened heavily with the preseason changes
Adding an AD DFG isn't the answer. It suffers from the same issues DFG did, and is way more cost efficient than DFG ever was.
I don't play enought assassins this season to give feed back on that consideration , but as a Mage player who played during the time of dfg , this item is not an active, I agree the passive is stong but you have a 2 second window to respond wether it be using heal as an adc or using hour glass as a Mage. Also the cool down time is quite long , longer than dfg. The cool down is my main issue I'm finding with it being run on marksmens. Going back to your first post how would it work on jhin and graves persay their reloads might cause quite the handicap
To make it work on those ADs you'd have to watch your bullets. They both have more burst than Quinn, but it's gated (more counterplay). I still think it's going to be great on AD assassins since when they're auto attacking you it's likely inbetween their full combo (Zed autoing you to build up his ult execute, Talon to try and get some more hits for his bleed to finish you etc). When they're in AA range you're likely dead with this item you're going to be 100% dead. If you don't rush zhonyas now you're finished. Zhonyas might need a price drop if they want to keep duskblade in its current state.

Who said such nonsense?

Hi folks,
One of the unintended side effects of the Marksman item update was the splash damage to other classes who used Last Whisper. Specifically, Assassins and many light fighters had been using LW as a powerful multiplier on their damage, regardless of who they were fighting, and LW’s updated form just doesn’t help kill their primary targets (squishies).
Goddamnit Riot.
It's not a DFG, even less an overpowered one:
The champions that are going to use this are going to commit once they're auto attacking you (
), so it acts exactly like a DFG.
This acts like a reverse DFG. Instead of taking health from the start it takes it at the end.
The issue with DFG is it buffed the burst combo of a champions kit way past being cost efficient. This item does the same thing, and is 99% cost efficient. For it to be balanced it'd need to be at most 75% cost efficient.
When champions like
can miss their entire EQ combo, land 2 AAs on an ADC and their ult and come out with the kill the item isn't balanced. On the PBE it's already acting up, and Riot still isn't doing anything about it (instead they're nerfing assassins like
instead of nerfing the problem).
It will probably be underwhelming for lane ADC, because you can't chose to keep the passive, you use it automatically as it is off cooldown. Maybe it will be used on some bursty Jungle ADC (Quinn, Graves) but I doubt it will become a problem...
its probably pretty op on jhinn, since mid to lategame he can get a lucky crit off that takes 50% of a squishies health bar. so if he has 2 bullets left and crits with the frst one, that would make the second a guaranteed kill.
on other adc not, because they cant control the timing of the trigger very well.
they say it's only for melee if it gets abused by range which considering jhin and graves def will happen
As of this moment the item is not melee only
