i cant make azir useful anymore

before 5.14, i was horrible at azir. i lost every game, except a select few, which my sorry ass got carried in. now, i cant do ANYTHING with him. no knockup, the shield on his E is 100% pointless and it should just be removed, there is literally no reason for the shield anymore, you wouldnt dash into them if you had brain cells. no attack speed for cdr, and instead, you have to max your w second, and why not to be honest? your e is fucking useless now. could we revert the changes? you're catering to the LCS too much. yeah whatever, bjergsen and faker can dominate lcs games with azir, but the 99% of the playerbase that arent in lcs cant do that shit because he's arguably the hardest champ in existence. how do I play azir this patch? no words can describe how bad I am at him. i'm not playing the damned thing again until either the nerfs are reverted, or we get some compensation buff that is worth what he lost.

I don't get why you can complain about doing badly with a champion you're horrible at. By the sounds of it they did you a favour in nerfing him.

Isn't that the point of a hypercarry?

You sound like a friend of mine who's natural instinct is to build every champion tanky. Has it occurred to you that perhaps you'd enjoy peel/CC oriented champions more than Azir?

He's actually better now, He has 2/5th the attack speed he would have had at lvl 18 at lvl 1 and his Shurima Shuffle is actually EASIER to pull off (This is due to an interaction between his knockup and his knockback, with the knockup canceling the knockback like Alistar's E>Q combo). Building him like this Mag Pen reds Health per level yellows CDR per level Blues AP Quints 21/0/9 masteries

Rush morello, then get ludens, then Rabbadons, Then Zhonyas or voidstaff depending on the team.

I shit you not I think he might have actually been buffed by the changes.

And honestly? I never leveled E 2nd anyway...

I use AS Marks, Scaling Mana Regen Seals (I'm working on getting HP Seals), Scaling CDR Blues, and AP Quintessence. I get either Athene's or Morellonomicon, depending on whether my opponent is AP or AD. T1 boots, Rabadon's, Sorcerer's Shoes, Void Staff, Rylai's for the slow and HP, and then I finish it off with Zhonya's. I have around 900 AP with this build. Although, it takes a long game to reach a full build on Azir.

Quite a fun champion once you do hit a full build. In the end game you never really use your E to combo, anyway. The change on his E is a nerf to his laning, which might be okay. Although, without his E he has very little 1v1 potential which will effect his ability to snowball. You need kills in lane to get ahead and do significant damage; otherwise you're like a fly buzzing around a hornet. I haven't been home to try him after the change, sadly. His E is meant to reposition him, not to engage. That's what his Q was intended to do. I hope they slightly reduce the CD on his Q to compensate for his loss in kill pressure.

Azir will definitely survive these changes just fine.

But DO NOT pretend the Shurima Shuffle is easier to pull off than it was before.

Without the knock up, if the person is running away from you has you E, they are literally outside of range of your R by the try you make contact with them and are able to lane.

Overall the changes arent terrible, but I wish they had taken away the damn shield and kept the knock back.

Thing is you CAN R them after Eing them if they're walking away, it's still really easy since the hitbox goes behind you. Just time it so you cast it as soon as you hit, it's more like a Alistar combo now, and the slow on your Q REALLY helps.

You should probably spend more time practicing him then complaining about some small changes. The stuff riot changed was fairly minor, in an attempt to slow down is early game. Azir is still a very strong hypercarry.

I just wish he had better AS scaling. What most champions would have 1.5~ AS from Azir gets 1 AS, due to his poor base AS.
