I trying to move up from Silver 2 to Silver 1, but in my promos I get matched up against Gold 2 and 2 more gold players. Gold 2 5 leagues ahead of me. So I have to be better then a Gold 2 player to go from Silver 2 to Silver 1? What is the Logic in that? If ranked purely based on MMR, why even have gold/silver ect when its setting you up to fail when moving up in silver you all ready playing gold games in silver league.
i experience this all the time, technically speaking, even if you are going up against gold 2 players, you should have roughly a 50% win rate against them.
this will eventually create a scenario in which you just so happen to win 4 games in a row. and you are allowed up. so the system is working.
which is stupid because you're being gated exclusivity by promos, and your rank has no baring on your skill level at all.
TLDR: what you are experiencing is fair because everyone who climbs also experiences this, so you just have to keep playing.
