It's really bad. You see the same champs over and over again, but not only that, the game has become predicated on who either dies or feeds first, or who has the worst player on their team at champ select.
Ramping up the damage for the more casual players has made it beyond frustrating and anti-fun. It's ludicrous.
Im high diamond and can confirm. The game is 100% based off of who has the biggest shitter in low elo. Doesn't actually matter how good you do. If your team picks champions they are useless on and the other team doesn't you for a fact will lose. Because in reality its not an actual 5v5 at that point. Then they just keep fighting while behind as if nothing has happened.
Sure I win a good deal of games but the ones I lose (which every season becomes more frequent thanks riot) are 100% nothing you can do. Its all that player(s) being way too worse/no impact.
Lets not forget shyvanna, VI and the very rare tahm kench jungle who are constantly ganking while your jg is behind on farm and already gave up 2 kills.
I sometimes prepare myself for a loss by looking at my team vs theirs in champ select. We all know low elo players cant play xerath well and that no tanks vs 3 tanks and a vayne is a disaster in itself
Yeah one person sucks harder than the rest, ints and that throws away the game for the 4 other players on their team.
I can't tell you the amount of games where I'm sitting mid 0-0 with my enemy mid 0-0 just playing the lane out properly when Mr fed ass jungler or laner comes, kills me, takes mid tower and then roams bot/top to kill the laner, take that tower and basically lock in the result of the game.
You get pasted so fast by the slightest of fed people that there's no time to mount a comeback or play from behind.
I wonder at what point does "not being good" stop being a justifiable excuse for low elo feeling like shit...

How is that first part a low elo issue? One thing I've heard about high elo is everyone knows how to abuse the FOTM champs and spams them for freelo.
I have two account one is platinum after placements one is silver... the platinum is steadily climbing the other one is hardstuck Silver I right now because the games are so volatile I tilt off the face of the map.
"Low elo?" Maybe I'm just not attentive enough, but this looks to apply to high elo as well.

Yup though I'm not sure the balance team can save low elo from themselves. Unless they can somehow balance out stupid people and trolls. Just had a vlad that had to "try something out" in a ranked game. Goes spellbook with smite and builds a cinderhulk in lane. Pretty sure he thinks it helps him sustain. Any time someone politely tells him it doesn't work on lane minions he says "Stop harassing meeeee". Ends up 100CS and 3 kills down then DCs in front of their team twice and feeds some more kills. (already fed irelia 3 in lane) Funnily enough this guy will likely never get banned for trolling but by god if anyone says anything mean to him they will get hit fast.
Oh my god yes! I'm a shitty player, but I try my best to play safe and smart, and it just feels so pointless even when I'm ahead. This is the first time I've actually tried to play. I've usually just play here and there in the past, but I've kind of lost interest already because the games are such a mind fuck. I know it's because I'm shit too. :\
Well I had a game where our adc was dead and enemy team took nashor and pushed mid. They all wiped 4vs5 in their favor and lost the baron, didn't even get one tower and not one kill.

Its interesting someone said this and didn't have people spamming in the comments, "it's never your team, only you can determine the outcome of your game." I get that sometimes the biggest factor is you, but too often is there one single person who out feeds your ability to carry and the game is over. simple as that.

This is how its always been in low ELO. People rage because they have no idea what to do (or rage because theyre in low ELO specifically because they rage, as it loses games), and thus they give up easily.
Hilariously, low ELO is where you have the biggest chance to come back from a major deficit, because low ELO players have no idea how to end properly.
All of my games are so one sided right now.
Or when going off-meta even in low elo is considered trolling. That's something to look at.
There is so many bad players on today its not even funny. This entire week was trash. My winrate went from 83 to less than 40 in a couple of days
Carried as a support. Fiddlesticks with relic shield. OF ALL THINGS. Positive KDA. And we still lost with all my team having negative KDA. And they couldn't focus objectives at all. Forcing me to defend all lanes. Only the Heimer was decent. They all fed their lanes though. No saying I took gold from people, because they were dead by that point or ran away. Then we have people who can't go in on three types of cc used at once, two hitting ALL the enemy team. lul
