New to Ranked, am I missing something ?
So, i play a lot of lol, but mostly with friends, and if not, then pbe.
...I did a little ranked last year, but decided to go at this year starting this past weekend.
Is it just me, or is riot doing the LP system wrong ?
I'm not here to complain like your usual doesnt-play-much-ranked-bronze2. Infact, I had no issues climbing out of bronze 3 and don't plan on having any climbing out of bronze entirely. No, its not climbing, its how I have to climb. I don't think its fair that, hypothetically, one can do (almost) everything right in a game, and still lose LP for your loss (by the hands of an afk, or some feeders, or the fact that you couldn't carry because the team wont trust your shot calls).
The system makes perfect sense for 5v5s, but not for solo queue.
As a support main, I find this particularly frustrating. I can carry with the right team, but I have to play one of the other roles, and risk leaving the team with a bad support (which I've found that down here, is more weight than its worth on any carries back).
I always win more LP than I lose, so what do I do ?
Play and play and play, and hope for at least a 50% win rate to keep climbing ?
Because so far, that feels like my only option...
