LP Loss... AFK's

I shouldn't lose LP if there's an afk on my team. I'm getting really annoyed with this system, and considering giving up on solo-Q.

Not worth it.

All this irritating crap in bronze isn't worth working through.

Every game i'm concerned about BM, no team spirit, and the whole "Its late game, lets scatter like roaches for 35 min".

At least in regular games I'm not worried about afks and trolls effecting how the rest of the world thinks I preform.

I agree. I played out a 45 minute 3v5 this morning (Graves never connected and Rengar gave up and afk'd until he DC'd when it became obvious it was 4v5) and we were OBVIOUSLY the better players; we probably would have WON if Rengar hadn't been such a pussy. But you can't win a 3v5 no matter how good you are unless your opponents are IRREDEEMABLY retarded, so even though Zed had 35 kills and my Nautilus could stand and fight 1v3 and briefly even 1v4, we inevitably lost because we couldn't deal with the map control and attrition their numbers advantage gave them.

I resent losing LP for that game because there's really no reason why I should have to- Dota 2 even has a system where if a player remains disconnected for 5 minutes at a time any player on their team can leave the game and it won't be counted as a loss for any of them (except the one who initially isn't connected) and if it happens in the first 5 minutes the game is aborted for all players and simply not counted. There is simply NO REASON why Riot can't use a similar system to detect whether a team is playing at a disadvantage and give them a Loss Forgiven if they had to play large stretches of the game with less than a full team. Yes, I'm aware of the hypothetical possibility of losing teams trying to bully one member of their team into leaving to give them all a free pass, but realistically all this player has to do is mute all of them, report them at the end of the game and let the new judgement system punish them for what would be incredibly obvious toxic behavior. It's not a realistic threat and compared with the chance of no longer having LP wasted just because one player either has crippling connection issues or is a ragequitting asshat, the choice is a no-brainer.

Riot, you HAVE AFK detection systems. At the end of the game, players who had quit for more than a set amount of time are marked as leavers. You HAVE a Loss Forgiven status for when you decide a game's result isn't fair. WHY, if the system can already detect these things, are players still being punished for circumstances beyond their control?!

I would agree with you but it's possible to win a 4v6 with an intentional feeder on your team in Bronze so I can't sympathize.

AFKs are pretty damn horrible but they don't happen often enough to make a big enough impact on my winrate or most people's I believe.
