To be honest, Kassadin really needs a VGU.

First off, no, I don't think we need to rework Kassadin, he is still fun to play and is quite viable in the right hands. However, he needs his visuals, voicelines and even his lore updated.

Let's start with one of the most obvious reasons, Kassadin's character model is quite outdated even though it has been improved before, but that was many years ago, we are now in 2019. Thankfully, Kassadin isn't as "blocky" compared to other current champions such as Malphite and Mundo, but there is still some things that should be adjusted to him. Design: I wanted his design to still be like he is using technology to resist the power of the void to an extent, and this artwork is a great representation of that (then again it is not my work): http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/28/34/a5/2834a516c50ef9cc1c6b59c0be4c7e13.jpg Also, it fixes his "nether blade," Which in game... looks like it is phasing right through his hand. Another thing I would like to address with this concept art is that kassadin is wearing a chestplate... he isn't shirtless. Why is this important? Well, remember kai'sa and that she didn't have any trace of corruption or scars from the void on her? Well, that's because she was wearing armor, and if kassadin is going to take on the void, it would make sense that he would wear more gear.

Voicelines: Kassadin's voice entirely fits his character... well more like his character model, he is wearing a helmet after all. Not only that, it's epic as hecc. Voiceline-wise however, Kassadin needs to have them updated. As far as we know, Kai'sa is already out of the void, they need to pull a lucian and update kassadin's voicelines already to interact with Kai'sa. Second, maybe he can have interactions with other void creatures (like specific champions) so we can learn more about them.

Lore: We have no clue what Kassadin is doing right now since Kai'sa was already shown to be going in and out of the void. We need a continuation to his lore, because he has so much potential to his character development. That is pretty much the only reason why we need new lore to him because its a bit outdated.

Anyway... that's all of my ideas for kassadin, comment your thoughts.

Visual update yes. Rework on the other hand. He needs that. He is too brain dead mid-late game. His R - W - auto does 1,800 with just item 3007 item 3100 item 3027 it's super annoying.

Lol this champ actually needs whole VGU, it's disgusting to see him when he gets 2 items and then snowballs till the end without proper counter-play.

Kass and all his skins got updated in 2015. He still looks good.

Kass can eat a dog turd until he stops being able to drop squishies at 3 items and rift back on out.

In terms of void champs, Malz needs a VGU alot more than kass. Kog too prob.

If he needs a vasual update why don't you just said VU? Or just change the VGU in the title to just VU. As for Kassadin I think If they give him chestplate (as you said) and and showed his legs or maybe add physics to his "dress" I think he will be fine as for visual goes. His voice line and character need an update the most, how many lines does he has in game? 20? I highly doubt it he will receive such changes, but one can dream...

Since they did not do it with the count Kassadin skin they are not going to do it, especially since that skin did not sell well. We are talking about Riot mate, not a company that does what the community wants

I mean almost all of their older champions with outdated/unfinished models need a VU. Riot could and should be doing Morgana/Ezreal level mini-VGU for champions but they would rather spend 12 months working on one champion and release 5 new champions instead. Since July Riot has released about 5 champions (including Sett who is probably coming out this week). It's just amazing how they think the community wants new champions over updating the art and doing MINOR kit work on existing ones.

I got the Count Kassadin skin from an orb last event and let me tell you that it is probably THE BEST skin in the game. But yes he does need new voice lines, compare his voice lines to someone like Sylas another champ I play and they are completely lacking. His gameplay is fine imo. Strong if the enemy doesn't know how to abuse his laning phase and weak if they do.
