Dear Riot: When The Champions That Abuse Liandry's Will Be Broken Next Patch
Make sure you nerf Liandry's and not them. It's not the champion's fault you made a fatal balancing error giving Liandry's Max HP damage.

Should we see DoT champs become problematic, we'll likely be addressing Liandry's first.
I'd rather see changes that make liandries less abusable if dot champs break it, and brand already is somewhat broken right now and would deserve some changes anyway.
It really isn't much of a buff. It's actually a nerf until they go below 55% hp or so. (The 10% bonus bonus damage applies to the burn as well)
They already did nerf Liandry's for the sake of Liandry's abusers, on the PBE at least.
Looking forward to it might see Morde get above a 50% winrate. after 3 years below 48% and frankly very unsatisfying gameplay it will be nice to be able to affect the game when behind
Spoiler alert, they introduce these overtuned items, then proceed to nerf the champions who abuse them. a few niche picks are still able to abuse the items even after the initial nerf, so riot goes all out and breaks their ankles. Then the item picks up traction on a few other champions unexpectedly and begins to really show how universally powerful it is. Riot proceeds to nerf the item. Now the champions reliant on it are so butchered without it they are in an abysmal state. The champions they counter run rampant, so riot buffs a select few into an OP state.
Suddenly we have come full circle, and the balancing is only in a worse state than before.

I guess people wanted a way for mages to combat tanks, so there's that.
