From highest winrate ADC, to lowest winrate.. Riot went too far with nerfing Kog...
Since the beginning of Season 7's Kogmaw revert from his minigun supersaiyan form in season 6, nothing has changed about Kog'maw. Instead, ardent censor became a thing, runes reforged became a thing, relic shield adc became a thing, but Kog stayed the same. I am a firm believer of nerfing more recent changes that Riot tweeks that tend to be unbalanced, rather than nerf something older that was balanced but now is stronger because of the newer Season 8 applications... Nonetheless, Kog is nerfed to shit because of some poor thinking on Riots part. You think to make a late game hypercarry that should be a God when left alone to hit enemies, also vulnerable af when caught out. Instead of destroying his damage output, (whole f***ing purpose of Kog) you can target his mana costs, cooldowns, scaling options, base stats... His purpose in league is to scale and carry. But 5% max HP without going any AP really ruins his kit. Does Riot ever see winrate changes so hard as a sign that maybe they went too far?
TLDR: Kog never changed since season 7's revert of his season 6 form... Why Nerf the dmg which is his main purpose as a champion, nerf his mana costs, cds, or base stats instead... RIP Kog'maw-Mouth of the Abyss - 02/18
