How do i get good as Vayne?

Hi! I'm a Top/JG/ADC main, and I recently got the prestige firecracker Vayne from grinding the pass, and that has inspired me to pick her up. However, no matter how safe I play during lane and how good my Support is, I always get dumpstered. Just dying once in lane as vayne fucks over my CS for the rest of the game and forces me to play back behind my tower, and even that doesnt work because theres always a jungler or midlaner ready to help fuck me up. The few times I do get ahead early, by the time midgame comes around i get fucked over yet again. I know she's a late game champion, but how can i make sure I get to that late game?

I'm just looking for some general vayne tips, like when to build her On-hit or crit, the best rune choices, some good tips for laning phase, what kind of support to play with, and so on.

Anything is appreciated :)

Even with all the crit item changes, item 3153 item 3124 item 3046 item 3006 is still your core build that you'd be safe to go virtually every game. Runes are a bit situational, but a basic rune page would be: PTA, triumph (or overheal), legend alacrity, coup de grace, taste of blood, ravenous hunter, with attack speed, adaptive force, and armor. If you go sorc instead of domination, take absolute focus, gathering storm. W>Q>E in almost every matchup.

Vayne has essentially no wave clear, so you do have to put in extra effort to maintain farm compared to other adcs. She's also short ranged and exceptionally squishy, so you need to learn to position very well. Until you get a lot more comfortable with her, I wouldn't worry about getting into niche situational changes, like q max first or taking different keystones or builds.

During laning phase, a good trading combo (after 3) is auto q auto e, which will proc your silver bolts and prevent the enemy from being able to really trade back, or just use e to poke and deny CS if you don't have time for the full thing.

Also you have a really awkward period for farming right after you buy bork but before you get pickaxe where 2 autos is just barely too little to kill a caster minion, and you might lose out on cs if you farm wrong. attack casters once, wait for your own creeps to hit them once or twice, then last hit them.

Vayne's kit is all about kiting and outmaneuvering her opponents. What she lacks in attack range, she more than makes up for in mobility. First of all, I would say that a favorable support for vayne to play with is a cc tank, such as Blitzcrank Thresh Leona due to their ability to set up her e, for a quick stun, or just a bunch of damage froms autos, both of which result in either a really good trades and free lane control or a kill.

Kiting as Vayne is really easy due to her q's low cd if you attack right after using it. Keep that in mind when the enemy jungle or mid roams to gank you. Always q backwards and then auto, rinsing and repeating this as long as its safe.

Once you get Vayne's ult, you can begin to outplay your opponents HARD. With her recently reworked ult, you can stay invisible for a really long tim due to her q's cd being 50% lower when her ult is active. Use this to your advantage against opponents who are reliant on autos.

And obviously, during late game stay behind your tank support and teammates and let your true damage fly! Vayne is near unstoppable after your build rageblade due to being able to proc her w every 2 autos instead of 3.

Anyways, don't take my word for this since I'm only M4 on Vayne.

When I started playing Vayne, I also found it really hard to deal damage due to her short range. However, I began to play her a bit more passively, waiting for my opponents to make the mistake of going after me. After that, I started to notice improvements when I played Vayne and I got, like, 5 games in a row with an A+ to S+

Hope you found this helpful. [vayne-pose]

In lane when farming don’t tumble into enemy to last hit. Save your q and just aa for last hits. If the enemy step up you’ll have your q to tumble back wards or if you’re strong to go in and trade. Basically don’t use q to farm use it to disengage or engage.
