Let us talk Ezreal

Every time I play Ezreal I get the same response "You don't do very much damage" yet every single time I play him I'm topping damage charts, even when I play something trolly like Blue Ez in mid lane.

I just recently had someone say "Your damage has no impact" which is actually untrue entirely. When I can kite 5 people by myself and kill 3 of them just by running away, I'd say that's impact. Yet NOBODY seems to think so.

I actually mained Ezreal before he got nerfed 10 times nearly in a row, and he does seem alot less strong now, but if played correctly he's still a monster and nearly impossible to kill.

So what do you think? I like Ezreal alot, mainly because you can build him more ways than most ADCs but also because of his huge mobility and kiting potential. But I don't think he's "Urgot Tier" at all, as many people have told me before.

So I figured I'd take this chance to lay down all the various builds that I enjoy using and that others have used lately. Maybe eventually I'll drop some math and see which ones do the most damage.

ezreal HAD low damage but with the current itemizarion he is rightfully holding the position of the safest and working adc (ad items grant the same ad etc and he has the essence reawer, this boosts his scaling with items while most of other adcs got hurt by it, the utility changes to items that dont give crit allow him to stay in good shape while only using q's)

also blue build on any lane is not a trollbuild, this build is op to the point of feeling like you are on auto win and i speak from experience where i managed to outdamage my entire team (if i remember i had like 70k dmg while second guy in my team had barely 30k, so yeah i singlehandedly doubled my teams dmg output)

ppl complain because there is just too much changes in this game to know where a champion stands (addition and tweaks to items totaly threw the adc ballance into the air, ez wasnt played so much so nopbody knew where he stands, while most of those changes were a stealth buff to him) up to a point i believed that ez sucks too, but then i played blue ez for trolling in normal (never played blue ez before), ownificated and this began to play him for some time other ppl didnt check how ez stands so they just base themselves on the last info they had which said that ez deals low dmg

It IS comparatively low damage compared to a hyper scaling ADC like trist/lucian/jinx because they have crazy late game scaling (either in terms of skill combos or auto attacks).

Ezreal provides more poke and much, much better safety. It's a trade off and it's not a bad one but you do have to respect the fact you're going to do pretty damn low dmg compared to most adcs in the late game.

EG: Jinx using max range AOE crit rockets on a grouped teamfight and then aoe executing them with her ult is a lot more damage compared to an EZ who's kiting around a teamfight throwing Q's and a few AA's at the front line (because usually he wont have the range to hit back line. There's many exceptions though)

Can't say I relate.

I play AP Ezreal mid. No one on either team thinks my damage has no impact. Might have something to do with destroying squishies with two abilities later in the game. Or maybe it's the suped up ultimate that just chunked everyone on the other team for half their health.

Full build on Ezreal doesn't matter. Ezreal with a full build is potent.

The build path is the problem. Mess it up and you suddenly lack strength early or mid game, which translate to being behind late game.
