I agree, i really enjoy poping into GD when i was bored but i most likely won't be doing it much anymore.
With the amount of senseless bitching on GD it was only a matter of time. GD was an anarchic cesspool of anti-Riot circle jerking. And everyone wondered why Riot talks to us less. The whole thing with Opeli was the final nail in the coffin.
I hate to say I told you so GD... but I did.

See I agree, in part, as I hate the Reddit format. However I hated the old forum even more and these boards have grown on me. I just remind myself I'm not actually on Reddit and it makes me feel better.

These boards aren't the greatest, but I know there are others like me that are happy to not have to scroll through the plethora "X is Overpowered" threads. The worst part about these posts is that the OP was rarely open to discussion on the matter. They would rather prefer to whine and cry instead of supporting their opinion and countering rebuttals with well thought out opinions.
tl;dr Glad I don't have to see people cry like babies over X champion or X role being OP every other thread.
GG riot then, i am pretty sure they dont want you on the boards, it just costs them money, and earns them no money and 90% of it is negative feedback about the game.
It is obvious the new boards are shit, fairly certain this was planned to try to discourage peopel from using the boards.

to be fair you can change the colour scheme and other things these boards are better and the spam from threads like "this champ op" is filtered out.
