I would like to try some bruiser/juggernaut/tank Off-meta picks for top lane and would appreciate some input. I like the idea of Rek'sai, Volibear, or Hecarim. However I know there are some constraints with these pics.

For instance, Hecarim had mana problems early before getting Iceborn gauntlet, trinity force, or frozen heart, although his roaming potential is pretty stupid.

Rek'sai's abilities are more tooled for a diving jungle, rather than a, diving top laner.

Volibear is most likely suffering due to health on armor item changes.

Again, I would appreciate some suggestions on these and other Off-meta picks like these.

Why you want to try off-meta if you can't even play the meta?

As a previous Hecarim top lane main when he was broken to an absurd level, DO not play him. With this current meta, it is extremely unfriendly towards the horse. Almost every big top laner atm just stomps him into oblivion before he can even get off due to his early mana issues.

My advice would be to figure out what it is you like about those champs and try something similar first. Voli is fairly easy - try WW or Singed top. WW is a slash and grab similar to Voli, Singed is a flip bruiser with a bit of AP help. Rek is a short range mostly single target - try Shyvana or Xin. Hec is a bit harder, but maybe try out Jax or Talon (high mobility/burst) and see how that works out for you?
