Climbing out of Bronze

Tonight I intend to start climbing out of my poorly-placed Bronze IV position by playing top lane. I'm going to attempt this by playing juggernaut/tank-esque champions like Garen, Yorick, Cho'gath, or Volibear. What I would like from the boards is some addition suggestions on how to climb. Note, my CS and Warding are decent for even a low silver player. I also have a little bit of IP saved up, but it's only about 5800.

wish you good luck mate, better thank god you don't play in EUNE.. because there, you have a zero chance of escaping with trollers and feeder, i mean, 100% of my games and trollers, 6 games losing streak, huh

I climbed out of Bronze a season or so ago playing top lane (pre-juggernaut)Skarner. My suggestion is to play what is comfortable. That, and play aggressive as HECK.

Focus on winning the lane phase as hard as possible, then laser focus on OBJECTIVES.

The biggest problem I saw in bronze was that people just don't focus on taking objectives. 4 people bot lane? push your top turrets as far as you can till you cant see them on your mini map and know they are coming. If you can draw enough pressure (safely) away from your team, even a bad team can take free objectives (ping them like crazy).

Otherwise, good luck m8.

Play power picks, don't go to top lane. Support and JG are best roles to climb.

Power picks are champions who are VERY strong at what they do, for example Amumu Annie Illaoi Volibear Darius Udyr

People in Bronze don't know how to counter these champions, so its mostly steamrolling. Don't be cocky, greedy, and remember that lane control and CK win the games.
