First pick-able supports

Could not care·10/19/2016, 7:15:54 PM·1 votes·402 views

Just interested, what are the supports that you use as first picks? I find it really sucky to pick something like Zyra and get absolutely countered by enemy botlane and jungle.

My FP is pretty much always Soraka . There's not much you can you do about her if I don't fuck up.

Any other suggestions? Thresh seems to be popular, but I really hate him.

Nautilus. Partially because he could be top, jg, or support so the enemy aren't going to be sure, which is very helpful. He also jsut gives no fucks about what he is facing, he just kinda steamrolls over anything that isn't a Morg, which neither Thresh nor Raka can do much into anyways.

He also fills out just about any teamcomp which is nice.

ranged ones nami and lulu i suppose

Brand and Nautilus can work due to deception if they assume he is going to a different role.

Lulu may work due to her versatility and safety.

Zilean is ok, the worst thing that can happen is the enemy has a dash, or major poke you cant heal

As long as your good at something in your in a lower elo (Plat 5 and below), you should be able to FP anything with relative ease as long as your good with that champion.

Sometimes you just get absolutely fucked though...

item 3070 Blitzcrank = Sivir + Morgana

As long as you have good positioning, you can really first time anyone as support

Depends on what your team needs, but I'll first pick any of these guys and not care. Nami for a healer... Morgana for a mage... Nautilus for a tank...

Braum's a better first pick then people realise. Not quite as flexible as Thresh, but he can still work both as a front and back line whilst having strong poke in lane.

Honestly, Zyra is a good first pick. Forcing them to coounter you opens up a lot for your team and if you ward halfway decently she can peel and play safe against almost anyone. If the enemy draws a shaco or eve jg, buy pinks and play safe. You dont have to have a ton of kills to be ahead. I always buy eye of the watcher and then rylais as Zyra support then go for what counters the enemy. Her base damages will do a fair amount at that point. Nothing makes me happier than when my team is mostly AD, the enemies only build armor, and i land that 3-5 man ult when a teamfight breaks out.
