Do remakes drop the hidden MMR?

Could not care·10/4/2016, 12:49:33 PM·1 votes·7,067 views

I'm sick and tired of playing much against higher rank opponents in normals. You know, I want to be useful and not feed 24/7 too? My question is, if I afk and force remakes on matches where riot fucks up the matchmaking, will my hidden MMR drop a bit or I'll be just wasting my time?

==== In advance, for those who say I'm an evil person for not playing unfair games - would you prefer your botlane to go something like 2/8 or worse? Do those games feel good? Maybe you flame them a lil' too? So, as a part of that botlane, I would rather not play an unfair game.

If you are classified as a leaver/afk during a remake, then you get the full penalties for a loss, including the MMR drop.

If you play a lot of normals then you're going to get matched up with people a lot higher rank than you. Its an inevitability. Its not a bad thing though, you just gotta take those loses on the chin and learn from your mistakes. When I first started getting matched up with plat/diamond players I was getting my ass kicked but now I can hold my own a lot of games, even if I'm not playing one of my "main" champions. I've found its really helped me climb in ranked because in my normal games I'm frequently against better players than in my ranked game. Its kind of the whole Julius Caesar mentality of my "sparing sessions are bloodless battles and my battles are bloody sparring sessions" kind of mentality.

As far as remakes dropping your MMR I highly doubt it but I don't know for sure.

if you are the AFK it will hurt your MMR and you lose LP i think. if its so bad why not dodge. Dodging you dont lose nearly as much LP, and it doesn't hurt your MMR. Also AFKing can put you into low priority queue which is like 5 20 minute wait times before you even reach queue.
