In my opinion, Rito should create a checking connection system before game ready to start, I met with some occasions they were disconnected when this game started, or they blame for lagging- but i didnt know they were really lagg or they were lack of experiences in their champions led to this game failed. Futhermore, In patch 5.24 is appearing many bots, i dont know they are real human or bots, but in this game they built so strange - For example, they built only boots then they run toward to enemies and feed them, they were never care the turnet is shooting them I

Or before you play take 30 seconds and hop in a custom.

  1. Open up your command prompt
  2. Type 'ping 104.160.131.1 -t'
  3. Press enter
  4. The result under 'time' is your ping
  5. $$$ profit???

Most of the time I think that the bad ping comes from the user connection (or then Riot provides Loss Prevented [not happening sometime though] or desactivate the affected queue), so it could be interesting to show users their pings towards some datacenters used by Riot (US, EUW , etc.) so you know if YOUR internet is working properly before your queue. Also, I don't really know all of the Riot's internals but I think that your gaming server is selected once the pick phase ends, and the internet connectivity can be different for each servers depending on their location, and many other factors, so it's maybe why they can't tell you the exact ping you will have before the game game starts.

Why not just use ping command in cmd.exe... or go into custom? I mean it would be nice feature, but there are things that are way more important atm.

I always start the day with an aram match to see my connection. My net is good usually but once in a while it just decides to suck for no reason.

It is called a custom game and it takes two minutes to check. I do it every time I start t play because I know that my router has issues that can be fixed with a reset.
