yasuo's windwall broken?

I'm not arguing that yasuo shouldn't have a windwall. I think that's fine.

But I was playing blitzcrank, i threw a hook, he panicked and threw his windwall at a 90 degree angle from where my hook was coming from... and it blocked the pull.

I think we have to question whether his windwall is too forgiving when used improperly.

Also, why the hell does the windwall block from both ways? that's a separate issue, but still worth talking about

Can we first address the issue of hook champions missing you by 200 units but the skill snaps to you anyways?

It's really unjustified when you look at Braum's wall. Braum's can't block from both sides like Yasuo's, so he's forced to make sure it's facing the necessary direction. Doesn't make sense realistically.

The Unforgiven ironically has a very forgiving kit.

I feel yasuo's windwall should deplete his "Flow" passive. It makes since. He builds up flow and it surrounds him, this his shield, but his windwall is him casting it away. It would scale off of his flow meter. 50% flow meter, 50% duration. would make him much more skillful due to him having to decide between a personal shield or windwall. would end all "yasuo op" threads as well.

Blitzcrank complains about hitboxes ...

From what I understand the wall is created from within Yasuo then moves out slightly in front of him. This allows him to knee jerk cast it in any direction as a projectile is about to hit him and it will always block.

What Riot SHOULD do is start the Windwall creation in front of Yasuo, so it's never 100% encompassing his body from all directions. It's supposed to be a WALL not a DOME.

That's my understanding, anyway.

Lux laughs at Yasuo's attempts to block lasers.

I do feel like that Yasuo's design has too many holes that have been filled for his gameplay design, but I haven't seen that many Yasuo players recently, so it's hard to know whether I can stand by that opinion with him or not.

However, it is stupid that he can have two items and he'll have 100% critical chance. One item not even having to be upgraded to anything else.

the problem i have with windwall is he can just put it up and deny you any chance of last hitting if your a ranged champ in lane. you go to last hit he windwalls and now you cant last hit anything cause the wall will just eat up anything u try and do to last hit

I threw a sej ult next to yasuos windwall. The skillshot outline showed it was 100% clearing the windwall. Not even close. Not clipping the windwall in any way. The windwall was a mile away to the left and my ult 100% got eaten by it.

Yeah that's absolutely disgusting for that both sided block.

Shen and Braum have in their kit what yasuo's windwall should be if it was balanced

Best moment is when yasuo blocks your draven ult by windwalling IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION

The fact that Riot deliberately made his Wind Wall start at the center of his model shows they wanted a forgiving "oh shit" button. The fact that the spell is better at the last second then having to think ahead of time about placement is a bad design. But that's what Riot wanted.

The wall blocking projectiles from both sides is the whole point of the design. It's not even a problem since your blitz hook probably came off cooldown before his windwall anyways. It's just "Broken" because it does what it was designed to do? Personally Yasuo is only broken because his passives "he doubles his crit but 50% of crit damage is gone" is kinda bs because Infinity Edge conveniently gives a bonus 50% crit damage, the item doesn't fit anyone better.

Let's imagine his wind wall is a brick wall. Even if it's 90 degrees or if you hit it from the back side it's still going to interact with the object. I think a more pressing issue is how forgiving it is when he reacts late. Projectile is on top an yasuo... yasuo sword deflects projectile before wind wall is up. Not cool.
