if i mute a player in game, i do not want to see their filthy toxic chat in post game chat

Lobby chat is separate from that system so currently can't do that. You can, however, add them to your block list and they'll be muted in-game and lobbies. Personally, I just immediately exit the post-game lobby and don't read the chat if I'm expecting some toxicity.
Maybe they can improve on this with the new client?
use /block or /ignore instead of /mute
i really dont like the way you said "filthy", sounds like you got mad too. if you get triggered easily just leave post game lobby
It's because the two clients are separate and connecting them is a non-trivial technological problem. It's the same reason that pre/post-game chats don't appear in Reform Cards.
Also, if you mute players in game we shouldn't have to be bothered by their pings. If someone is tilted and they know they're muted, some spam ping the crap out of you and it's pretty annoying.
Yes, it's really shitty, I thought about it a lot lately and it really undoes all the harassment I avoid by muting someone in game.
Can't you block them from your client? Does that remove post-game chat features for said blocked person?
Just...ignore it? I mean you're an adult right? Don't read it, or disregard it if you have to read it, why does it bother you so much?
Riot doesn't have the technology for something like that.
or pings in game!
I'm a Support Main and this would really make my life easier ... i'm not even kidding, this would relief a lot of stress on my end and those Junglers whom get harassed for not ganking 2 min into the game or some trivial bullcrap.
I agree. If i mute a player in a game i dont want them friending me to annoy me or harrassing me any more. Its rude and needs to be fixed. Up vote!

It actually used to.
When you muted someone in game it would automatically add them to your block list. Riot had to remove it though because people were complaining because they would accidentally do it to their friends and it would remove them off their FR list and prevent gifting.
...or their gloating, they will still gloat if they see that you can see their chat. There needs to also be an indicator which says, this user doesn't see anything you write.
I usually mute someone from the get-go if I feel like they will be toxic. I then use the post-game lobby to determine if they should be reported. It's their own funeral. [slayer-jinx-wink]
Someone calling you bad if you did bad isnt toxic. Just so you know. Unless all the people you mute are giving you death threats..

Riot is just waiting for the election to blow over, if Trump wins, they will not implement it, if Hilary wins, I guess we all get a nice sandwich or something.
just copy and paste their chat into the report
and then hopefully after your next game you will get the glorious "a player has been punished" message that we all love <3
Calm down and leave the lobby you sjw
The post game lobby is where i vent my stress and leave since you cant be reported from there :)
Over 1k upvotes is my assumption.
