I have found my Main Champion finally

At first I thought it would be someone like Garen, or maybe even Malzahar. But with those two, I may be able to win with them. But I don't have fun when I play them.

Then I thought Kayle, and it was pretty boring to me.

High and low, I looked and tried whomever I could. Until I found one champion that I hadn't paid much attention to. And low and behold, I have the most fun, the most chuckles, the most enjoyable experience with him.

And his name is.....Teemo.

And there goes my respect. If I had any. But honestly, I love his play style. You have to out think your opponent, exploit openings, wear them down to where they can't fight back. Patience. Even taunt them a bit in all chat, nothing too negative just things like, "Oh hi Graves, you don't want to walk this way, I saw some shrooms." And then watch him turn around and head right back at you into a blinding dart into a full on onslaught.

I've beaten Yasuo's that laughed at me in chat for taking him into lane with him. Fizz's who thought they could burst me down before anything could happen. But, the way I build him, starting with a rod of ages, into a lichbane makes fighting me a pain in the behind. You may get a kill, but I'll still get a kill in the end.

I've gotten up to a quadra kill with him. I didn't get a Penta cause Jhin wanted to use his bouncing grenades. But the Quad was from a mushroom, so there's that. Ha.

That and there's only one skin I use for Teemo. Omega Squad Teemo. The scores I get are constant A's or S's depending on how aggressive I wanted to be.

So, who is your main that surprised you when you found them?

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Honestly, my main has changed so many times that I don't really claim to have a main anymore. That being said, two of my recent champion picks have surprised me a bit.

First up is Lucian. I wasn't surprised because I disliked him; he was actually a champion I've wanted to like for a long time. The thing is, if you go back a few years, I made a lot of calls on Boards to nerf Lucian, several of which Riot actually did (reducing his passive damage, at least early, and increasing his ult cooldown especially at later ranks). Now that the dust has settled (again, and again), it seems the consensus is that Lucian is pretty balanced, if a bit too well rounded. Still, the fluidity of his kit and, again, how well-rounded he is makes him a really great pick that I can play into pretty much anything.

Second is Shen. He's also a champion I've wanted to like for a while, but I was pretty skeptical immediately following his rework (tried him out on PBE and he didn't really click). I've started really enjoying top lane (which itself is a big surprise; it's been my worst role for several years now), started playing Nautilus and really liked the dueling aspect of top. Since Nautilus was/is FotM, I wanted to find a champion that I could stick with long-term, that I could become really good with. On paper, Shen checked all the boxes (good duelist, tanky, has hard-CC, can split-push and teamfight) and then some (has a skillshot dash; being energy-based is always nice; one of my favorite champions is Orianna, so managing Shen's sword positioning is appealing; Shen has strong auto attacks, which I think are undervalued on champions other than ADCs/Trynd, etc). He was everything I hoped he'd be and more. Beyond the laning aspects, which I think are really cool on Shen, there is his global map presence, which is just incredible. Being able to Ult bot-lane, pick up a kill/assist, then TP back top without missing a CS is so freaking cool.

Teemo can literally build any item in the game, and can adopt pretty much any style of play, even tank somehow, and go in any lane if you try hard enough.

The teemo hate is literally just a worn out circlejerk meme, don't pay it any attention, I am glad you found "The One", i wish you all the best!
