Why is karma allowed to use her basic shield on a minion? I understand the uses of the shield when you mantra then use it on a minion but the basic shield serves next to no purpose on a minion. It just creates an opportunity to miscast an otherwise useful spell onto an undesired target.
Shielding minions can be a good thing as well. If you ult shield a minion, it can extend your reach to allies who may be out of your normal reach. If you are afraid of misclicking, you can always place your mouse over the icons on top of your mini map and push E to shield that ally. It helps in those crowded skirmishes and you have a clearer view of who needs the shield. It does suck to misclick your target which can happen with other skills and not only with Karma's shield.
Some people love the shenanigans of shielding a minion that someone wants to farm. If timed properly he misses it, especially when he is under tower. Or shielding a siege minion to help push a tower. Also it might be confusing for some that you CAN use it on minions with RE, but CAN'T with E. It's kind of a thing with consistency and not confusing new players.
