Assassin: Do you feel outplayed?

Assassins are supposed to be about outplaying their opponents and catching them off guard ultimately killing their target. However in LOL it never feels that way. Assassins just seem to come at you and do so much damage you just die. Their outplay potential is supposed to be tied to creative uses of their mobility but often its just used to come at you head on or run away. And in the case of zed and leblanc they do both at the same time.

People say that assassins fall off but I disagree. The longer the game goes on the more valuable picking off a person is and who is better at doing that than assassins. Now I'm not saying lets nerf the class across the board or anything like that. But I think its time to think about what is fair for an assassin and their target. Sion for example is loaded with cc but theres tons of counterplay to that. Assassins are load with damage and mobility and unfortunately the counterplay seems to be don't be near them or be tanky enough to survive.

Thoughts?

Not trying to start a Zed hate post, but I just want to say that I don't feel very outplayed when he hits me with his ult. Short of going untargetable, there is no way to avoid his dive with the ult and whenever I play tanks (like Sion, which I do a lot) I feel pretty frustrated when there is literally nothing I can do to save my carry from his ult. Except when I'm playing TahmKench .

That's the only thing that bugs me about Zed. His ult doesn't feel like an outplay potential ability. It's just an execute with an escape mechanic and doesn't seem to have anything to punish.

If that is what is meant to be healthy for an assassin, then I think assassins are not welcome in this game.

I feel outplayed by assassins when they successfully flank me, catch me out of position, or show up in unexpected places. I may be biased here, since I play a lot of Eve, but her and Shaco are usually the only ones who do that kind of thing.

Most of the others just wait until you come into their kill range, jump at you, and burst you down. A lot of them also have so much built-in safety that they don't even put themselves at that much risk to do so, which makes it feel even less like an outplay.

Nocturne, my beloved assassin. I need vision to kill an ADC, i need to outplay them with my shield, i need to be 2 sec near them to fear them, and i need to hit with my Q else i lose 55 AD(though if they are feared it's easy).

I mean i guess, but i feel as if tank champs do that more, like darius, garen, volibear, etc.

Assasins have been an anti fun class in many a multiplayer game.

Zed despite his oppresive lane phase can be countered by items qss/zhonyais ect.

The likes of talon and rengar (remember the oneshots) cannot be counter played nor counter built
