Poppy Support

I'd like to expand my support roster and stumbled upon Poppy Support, which seems not that bad. However, I couldn't find any guides on it. Does anyone have any sources I could use or tips on playing Poppy Support?

As a Poppy main, I highly recommend to not play Poppy support unless the enemy team has a large number of predictable dashes as you receive far less money and cannot tank nearly as well.

If the enemy team consists of Tristana ADC, Zac Jungle, Wukong Top, and your top laner and jungler will not pick Poppy, by all means, play Poppy support.

Now, for the build itself, you should run Masteries 12/0/18 like standard Poppy but getting Expose Weakness instead of Feast and Bond of Stone instead of Grasp of the Undying. Get Face of the Mountain, Ruby Sightstone, Locket of the Iron Solari, Iceborn Guantlet, and Randuin's Omen (which can be substituted for Spirit Visage if the enemy team has a lot of AP, but you may also want to switch Iceborn Guantlet for Frozen Heart for the Cold Steel passive). For boots, get Boots of Mobility and sell them for Mercury's Treads and an Elixir of Iron when the rest of the build is completed.

The only exception to picking Poppy support to a low dash-count enemy team is if the enemy support is Blitzcrank and you don't have Leona (Poppy and Leona love going against Blitzcrank, it's free dives). Do not ever pick Poppy support if the enemy ADC is Graves.

I don't think she is that great tbh but if I were to play poppy support, I would look to peel for the adc most of the game and roam a lot in the early game and gank mid. I would go sighstone > targon > boots > iron solari and then build to what the situation demands.

I honestly only play poppy support when i know my adc is agressive as hell or when thers an enemy Lucian to beat up Poppy really is a case of "mage brought bot lane" but instead its "off-tank brought bot lane" like a Shen or Trundle kinda is

if you want an out there support Sion is a really powerful one too, his shout slow into ult into q is amazing lockdown, and passive ;)

But as far as i would build, standard tank bot laner, item 3302 item 2049 depending on the adc item 3143 item 3672 def or swifties even. item 3190 perhaps and whatever last if you get that far.

Suggesting maxing E for more wall stuns hopefully. poke with shield passive as much as possible, engaging when you have shield too is best, ult for disengage, w for being ganked yadda yadda, practice a bit and then go nuts.
