It's impossible to get out of Bronze 5.

You have people who don't know how to play, you have people who feed, you have people who want to try someone new out, you people with bad attitudes, you have people who don't when to go for certain items, weapons, or Baron! It's just stupid!

Stop blaming your teammates, and focus on your own gameplay. Otherwise, you deserve to stay there.

Lyless1 votes

Bullcrap, man. I am doing my part as support. Average 23 assists. I do my part.

RavenHusky3 votes

Next step, Focus on objectives instead of chasing unnecessary kills. KDA doesn't matter if the nexus doesn't explode. Taking towers, dragon, and baron is how you progress towards winning the game.

Lyless1 votes

I know how to play. But I am Soraka. I don't chase kills, I assist. What are you talking about?

Meta Not Found1 votes

You don't know how to play. You're Bronze 5.

Unfortunately, like most in low elo, you think that you're better than where you belong and have indicated that you're completely adverse to constructive criticism and will probably remain there for a long time.

I do know how to play! ELO!?!?! Whatever. I can wipe the floor with you. I am tired of people like you giving advice that makes me weaker. I will out of there once I get lucky enough to have a good team.

False. The last 11 games in which you built a Sightstone, you did not swap out your starting trinket for a sweeper. You could be doing more.

You build Luden's Echo a lot, which is not a good item if it is the only AP item you build.

Diamond players are building Talisman of Ascension and Mikael's Crucible on Soraka, which you are not building. That doesn't mean you should or shouldn't be doing it, but they play better than you do, and it is what most of them build, so that is a data point for you.

You built Mejai's in a game in which you went 0/7/10. That was a bad choice for that particular game.

You frequently finish Ruby Sightstone early vice building other items. I recommend considering delaying it.

You bought ZERO pink wards in your last 8 Soraka games. I got tired of checking, so I assume you never buy them. This is definitely a mistake.

Lyless1 votes

And you forgot to mention the feeding and my abondoning me and going afk. But, keep lying to pretend like you have a case based on the "one game" you picked! Average is still 20 assists.

steampig3 votes

He said he looked at the last 11 games you supported. That's more than 1. And yea, if you buy sightstone and keep warding totem, you're a bronze V player. Forgetting everything else, that's just ridiculous.

Neo Cyrus2 votes

Your stats say you average 14 assists as Soraka - http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=LYLESS

Guess what? The KDA doesn't really matter.

You want to know why you'll stay Bronze? Because instead of looking for your own mistakes, which there are hundreds of, you focus on the problems of your teammates. That combined with a usual side effect of being Bronze, you refuse to listen to anyone. Everyone here is telling you to focus on your own problems to look to improve, which is the only way, and you just rant on about your teams being bad.

2 wards in a 42 minute game as JG, 9 as support in the same duration? This tells me you're leaving your teams as blind as a bat.

I notice you're playing nocturne these days, try buying sightstone and upgrading trinket for pink wards at bronze 5 if you do that and can get yourself using them you WILL get out on that alone. (yes on your JG) You've literally never even upgraded a trinket before that's almost unfathomable. You don't need to go all tryhard deward (especially since no one is warding in your games) but upgrading your warding totem alone for pinks or greens is HUGE!

Now I'm not saying sightstone is a great buy on nocturne I'm just saying it'll get you out of bronze 5 if you buy and use it.

Wards? I will let support handle that. Noc needs all the armor, AD and AS as possible. A sightstone is a waste for noc. Wards in general are overrated.

I just dropped 12 wards last game as ADC in 49 min and that was while having trouble moving about the map, at that rate it means as ADC I drop more wards than you do as support...That's while I was being out CS'd by a platinum ADC (who dropped 11 wards).

http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1882902683/221232078?tab=stats&participant=8

Incidentally our trolly talon support dropped very few wards (21) while their support dropped 49...this again compared to your 9.

There's nothing wrong with support main in bronze. You could say that about ANY MMR, people don't see support as a "carry" position but they are as much as anyone else. Every player has games they have limited impact on but there's a reason top support players are top support players, they have proved that with the right skillset you really can support your way up.

Not really, pretty sure we both agree that it's more difficult a task for most, I'm just noting that it's perfectly do-able.

you would have to pick supports that can carry like annie but for the most part you you cant carry as hard as an hypercarry, which you sort of need for bronze. Support can get carries fed but it also depends on picks which again people tend to do poorly in bronze.

Your item builds are disgusting, your runes are wrong in almost every way, i imagine you're just awful at this game looking at that. Also you die a fuck ton and have a negative k/d in bronze.

Want to get out of bronze? Stop being a shitter

soraka is not a good agro support unless you have plenty of early kills and even then ludens is not that great on her. if you're going to play agro support mage go sona.

Mister Modesty1 votes

Soraka is easy to play against. Her AOEs take too long to strike. You want to be able to slow enemies. Frost Queen's Claim and Hextech Gunblade have an active slow. Hextech gunblade will increase the heal from her Q. The slows will help you land your Q. Mikael's Crucible heals, and can counter CC effects, Raylias Sceptre makes all your spells slow the targets. Will of the Ancient buffs your Q further, and the Zeke's is for certain ADC champs like Jinx or Sivir. Just try it.

Mister Modesty1 votes

If your Soraka can't get item 2009 then you should try changing her masteries. Soraka support is Utility.

Remember when I told you that you don't listen?

Literally everything you're doing is wrong. As in factually wrong, not opinion. There isn't one aspect of this game that you're doing correctly. You ask for advice then ignore it, like every other B5, then why ask?

You are speaking about things that aren't problems for me. Yeah, why are you commenting? You don't help at all.

This post right here shows why you are in bronze five, complaining about others will never make you better.

EDIT: look at this guy's match history, it explains everything.

Lyless1 votes

Sure and saying nothing while the same thing happens will help. You can only do so much as soraka.

ShaftyMegee1 votes

Gotta admit maiming support in bronze is a hard thing to do, but not impossible. Also why are you only playing the goat? You need to learn counter picks

Lyless1 votes

My play isn't the issue. You need to check yourself.

ShaftyMegee1 votes

I need to check myself? Like you wana fight me? Are you a child...? Can't you give any real reasons as to why you should be a higher rank?

On a side note this thread is fun, keep it up.

Lyless1 votes

Who cares if it's fun for you? I mean the more I look at this forum, the more I realize it's designed to keep players down, not make them better.

This was a post with a lot of good advice with guess what? The intention to HELP, to show what you could improve, where you could change your play to be better.

Instead you are only insulting most of the other people in this thread and making excuses so you don't take the blame for your own mistakes.

ShaftyMegee1 votes

You're the one ignoring advice. Are you starting to see a trend in the posts here?

Lyless1 votes

The advice never works.

ShaftyMegee3 votes

Just accept that you won't climb up in rank until you learn to either accept the advice and learn from it, OR figure out why you died each time. Did the mid lane leave mid without a mia? Don't blame mid for not MIAing, blame yourself for not seeing them leave. Did you go too far into the minion wave and get cc locked to death? Don't blame your team, think about where you could have stood in relationship to the other Champs ability range.

In short you get better at this game by blaming yourself for your own death... because it's almost always your fault somehow.

I'm not trying to be a dick man, I'm trying to tell you to analyze your own mistakes so you can make yourself better.

EDIT: look man, most of the people here gave you good advice. For one, don't build ludens if that's the only ap item you buy... when I looked at your match list that's the biggest thing that stood out

2: please upgrade your trinket, I know it doesn't seem like much but it's fucking op when used right. You can either get free pinks every min, free stealth wards every min, free true sight every min, or free (ima look in your jungle ((blue trinket)) every other min.

Stop making it seem like you are great at this game, you are in bronze for a reason....

You're in Bronze 5. You don't get down that far unless you are bad or intentionally tank your MMR.

Lyless1 votes

{quoted}

First of all, I have no idea what MMR is. Secondly, I am not trying to lose.

EndlessSorcerer1 votes

MMR is basically your hidden ELO and is used to determine LP gains and losses after games. Each division has an average MMR value; if your MMR is lower than your current division you will typically receive less LP for victories and lose more for defeats, and vice-versa, since the system believes that you are placed too highly.

MMR is a hidden value which is calculated using your victories and defeats, factoring in the MMR of your opponents and the conclusion of the match.

As I said, if you aren't intentionally losing games, then the unfortunate fact is that you are in the appropriate tier and division for your skill level.
