Ranked Stuff that really kind of sucks for some of the community after the Season flip flop thing.

Hi. So I'm writing this because of the Ranked provisionals for season 5. I was gold 3. Now I'm silver 3. Not only myself, but plenty of plat and other gold players are now in silver, despite going positive for their placements. What's even more frustrating is that previous silver players are now low/mid gold. It makes no sense. It makes me question what Riot did to "improve" the ranked system. They talked a lot about how they'd take your previous games into the evaluation of your placement. I was in gold for over half a year.... not at the bottom of G5, but gold 4 and 3, and at one point almost 2. That was my level. And now, I have to spend my time this season climbing 5 ranked divisions?

Sure, climbing can be a lot of fun. But silver players are silver for a big reason, and it's really time consuming and difficult to do because there are so many more uncooperative players (Also, I main support, which may or may not alter the time to rise again...) The difference between silver and gold players is significantly bigger than bronze and silver players. It's as if they just decided to flip the elo's and stuff for funzies.

I really do like this game, and I appreciate and thank Riot for the wonderful things they've done up to thus far to progress LoL in the positive way it's been going, but I personally believe that the changes made were more hurtful to the ranked community instead of helpful.

Anyways, I'd LOVE to hear everyone else's thoughts. Sorry if this isnt written too well or placed in the wrong board, I just wanted to express my opinion and hear other voices on it. Ty for reading, and peace.

EDIT #2: Hi, This (^^up there^^) was actually a post that I created about a month ago but it almost felt like it was completely passed by so I posted it again because I still feel the same way about the game and I really don't want to. It truly sucks. I also want to add on to it.

I am a support main, as I mentioned before. It is nearly impossible to support carry your way out of silver and bronze. It feels like support mains are discouraged in those levels of ranked which sucks even more. I've tried to carry with adcing now and its fun and whatnot, but it's just so frustrating not being able to play what you're good with without worrying about it not meaning anything in the end. Overall I feel like my efforts in each game are still next to nothing and it makes me (and I'm gonna say others, hoping I'm not the only one) feel useless. I'm also aware that I could play normals to avoid this but it really doesn't change that much. I feel that in ranked more people tend to take each game more seriously. Anyways, I'm hoping people will comment on this. I really would like to hear other peoples voices and whatnot on the matter. Peace.
