The Cookie Jar of Ideas

Disclaimer: I don't presume to know if any or all of the following ideas would be good for the game or not. They are just thoughts that crossed my mind during play in the past couple of weeks.

  1. What if Grievous Wounds reduced shielding like it does healing? Then when an assassin applies it to a target before the shields are dropped onto said target, they might be able to do their job of blowing up the squishy through their shield. But if you put the shield on your ally BEFORE the GW is applied, they get the full value of the shield instead. This way shielding itself doesn't have to be reduced, and building Grievous Wounds becomes more insensitivity for Assassins and Fighters who are trying to kill high value targets... or Ornn.

  2. What if only one of the completed Zeal items gave 30% crit chance? More specifically, what if the others all gave only 20%, and Zeal itself only gave 15%? Then ADCs that build crit (most of them) would scale up slower, unless they choose to build the one that gives 30%, which could be a unique passive maybe? Like, create a NEW completed Zeal item that is the one with the highest crit chance (30%), and just drop all the others down to 20%. I remember a few seasons ago when Zeal built into 1 of item 3046, item 3087, and item 3078, and they were all expensive enough that most ADCs had to choose between the better team fighting of item 3087 or the better 1v1 of item 3046. They really didn't feel overpowered back then, but now ADCs seem almost oppressive against most other Champions at 3 items unless said other champions are unnaturally fed. Could just be my experience though...

  3. What if the support items, item 3069, item 3092, and item 3401, when they "activated" and became the replacement Sightstones that they are, made it so that any champion damaged by the person with that support items is revealed (yes, EVEN through invisibility) to the enemy team for, say, 3 seconds, refreshing every time they take damage from that person again? That way Supports could be the one to reveal invisible champions in the middle of team fights, but those champions would still have their invisibility in most 1v1 fights, unless they are 1v1 with the enemy support... which honestly, they should win regardless.

  4. What if Tenacity and Slow Resistance were combined into the same stat? There is already a problem with too many knock-ups being in the game which renders Tenacity as a concept gimped, but if it absorbed Slow Resistance then suddenly Mercury Treads might offer enough of an incentive to get your front lien to build them over Ninja Tabi in some games. Just a thought, but it feels strange to me that the two wouldn't be combined anyway. Hell, imagine if they WERE combined, and Phase Rush gave you 75% tenacity for a few seconds! Now THAT would be a killer Keystone for Bruisers! And some assassins, come to think of it!

  5. What if Lucian had a High Noon skin? Not all of these are balance related. I'm just thinking out loud here; he's got guns, and kind of a southern accent. I think he fits perfectly! Also it would be awesome to see Lucian doing The Culling with a couple of big, magic six-shooters. I know that's MFs ult, but come on, he's the only other champion in the game who uses two guns at the same time, there's gonna be SOME overlap.

  6. What if item 3094 and item 3087 worked like item 3748 and item 3074 back when Titanic Hydra first came out? Remember when if you built one of the Hydras, you could swap it to the other one for free, but you couldn't have them them both at the same time? That way you wouldn't even have to have it programmed in for the Charged auto attack effect to be a unique passive. Currently, going for both Statikk Shiv and RFC and combining them with Fleet Footwork seems to be just good on EVERY adc, perhaps with the exception of Ezreal, who is an entirely different can of worms.

Well that's all I've got for now.
