Remember When Inhibitors Gave Global Minion Buffs?
I do too. For those who don't, if one team managed to destroy an inhibitor around or before 25 minutes in, it was essentially GG. Clearly, this heavily impacted champion selection and team comp viability. This problem became so huge that in patch 3.14, Riot removed it.
**Context: **"Losing an inhibitor often puts a team behind for a long period of time with few opportunities for retaliation. This was because a downed inhibitor also granted a global buff to minions in all lanes. We want more comeback opportunities for teams who can capitalize on winning teamfights, even with a downed inhibitor."
So why in the world are minions receiving MASSIVE global buffs based on how well you can splitpush? Riot, if you value champion diversity (See patch note introductions from 5.5 to 5.12.) , why are you now in favor of its decline?
And again, with the PBE at your disposal for testing grounds, Why wasn't this change put on the PBE for external testing purposes?
